A sunny and very hot day in my town with a temperature of 25 °C.
Today I went to the town hall of my town to pay my property taxes, and I was really horrified with the high taxes they are charging, the economic situation in my country is not good at all and with these high taxes the companies have to increase the prices of their products which brings as a consequence the impoverishment of the population and the exit of many companies from the country looking for countries with less taxes.
We are really getting worse every day.
I leave you a part of a very interesting article.
According to the Center for the Dissemination of Economic Knowledge
High taxes in Venezuela encourage informality in the economy and encourage evasion, because tax revenues are not reflected in quality public services. The state of electricity, internet, water, transportation, education, health, personal and legal security services is increasingly deplorable, so that not only are there no conditions to attract direct investment, but the regime has created a toxic ecosystem for any type of business, particularly for small businesses.
On the other hand, the taxes on which fiscal spending is based are particularly regressive, so they affect more the citizen with less income, increasing the gaps in society. While all countries that aspire to the welfare of their citizens seek to create tax incentives for domestic and foreign investment, in Venezuela, taxes and state bureaucracy suffocate citizens, businesses and enterprises, and drive away foreign direct investment.
I hope that in your country you don't have to pay such high taxes, we are reading each other another time.
