Today has been such an amazing day for me, how about yours tho? Well, for me, with my camera, my day has been a spicy! Actually, I am a photographer who works hand-in-hand with videographers (though I have a little knowledge on videoing), and I love this work so much.
Each light flash from my camera makes me feel that happiness is a choice because many times I keep reminding my customers to put a smile on their faces and look bright. So with this, I have chosen to be happy and as well make others happy.
The general overseer of my church, christian fellowship, gave me the opportunity to cover his sermon in the studio.
Remember, I earlier said, "I have a little knowledge on videoing." However, that didn't stand as a barrier, I was opportune to work with experts who have more knowledge than I. So, I used that moment to learn more and add to the little I already had 😊.
Wow! Such a great achievement to me. Before then, I prepared my team to work with me to achieve this wonderful coverage. We got a tripod, microphone, AV (Audio visual) cables, a camera and to mention be a few.
The place was well arranged and a bit spacious for me to work comfortably. My team and I set all cameras and cables and as well made sure nothing was missing.
The lightning department placed their lights meters away from the sofa the preacher sat on. Then a beautiful brown lightning shone from above on a long stand which really blended with the preacher's complexion. Then behind him, two stands were kept to lit the place and make it brighter and lovely. Each and everything was done in the right order.
The makeup department also took the stage and ensured that the preacher's face was neither oily nor sweaty. They made sure his face was smooth and his dress well worn for an effective session.
The microphone was now set up by the sound engineers and tested in such a way that it would not embarrass the team in the course of production. It was raised a bit and directly under the chest of the preacher, such that it did not show that he is actually speaking into the microphone.
While that was going on, I went back to my video camera (assisted by my friend) and saw that his face was smooth and glowing, the microphone was not showing at all, the lightning was beautifully shinning to produce a lovely shooting and precisely everything was fantastic.
Hence, I called my team to order, and yelled, "light!" "camera!" "In two!" "ACTION!"
There's this sought of joy I feel anytime I make this statement because I have been through a lot before arriving at this my dream destination.
We played our different roles with so much finesse and I couldn't agree more on the fact that we were going to produce a beautiful video. Jeez! My day has been amazingly unique. With my camera and team by my side, I guess I got the recipe to be whatever I want!
