Start of another work week... and it's now the middle of the last month of the year 🎉 Locally, it's the start of the Simbang Gabi -- ideally, it's held early morning, but for years now, I've attended the anticipatory mass that happens the night before. I do prefer the 8pm mass rather than getting up at 4 or 5 in the morning. 😝
No meal subscription during the weekend means I cook my own. I decided to mix canned corned beef (relief goods from the Christmas package given by the local government), chicken sausage and macaroni. Voila! I can enjoy this soupy dish as I did have leftovers. No meal delivery for the last two weeks this year though, so I will need to do some meal planning for the next few weeks. 🤔
Saturday steps be like... almost 5K but still not quite. 😒 Seriously, I wonder what else to do to get there. 🤔 And no, I don't like going out often. I definitely need walking exercises inside the flat. Hmm..
I got a lovely surprise this morning when I saw the purple wreath plant finally produced multiple stems of flowers. 😮 I've waited for it for years.😍 I thank the universe for this beautiful gift. 💞

'Tis a quote after my own heart. Honestly, if I would celebrate for only once a year, I might become sad as I'm celebrating on my own during this time of the year. This will be the third year, but I've decided to spread out my celebration and appreciation for life. It's no longer about finding meaning but creating meaning in each and every day. 😉 I have no idea what the new year will bring. My 2025 was not really all that good, but I will look at it as lessons learned and continue to move forward. Perhaps having an optimistic mindset will bring be brighter and better days ahead. 🙏❤️💡
