To maintain a healthy pregnancy for my wife, she is very good about drinking healthy teas to assist through the process. One tea that is useful is called "NORA" tea.
NORA stands for Nettles (stinging), Oatstraw, Red rasberry leaf and Alfalfa. All these together make a super-blend that offers plant-based micro nutrients and minerals to nourish both my pregnant wife and our baby.
It's fun to try my hand at handcrafted tea blends, especially knowing how helpful it can be for our health.
We buy the ingredients in bulk, usually from Amazon. It allows us to make a lot of tea!
I combine 1/2 cup of dried stinging nettle into a bowl. Nettles provide vitamin A, C, K and B to improve blood vessel strength and energy metabolism and immune health. It also contains iron, potassium, calcum, magnesium and copper. Balance electrolytes, support fetal growth, ease leg cramps, assist with sleep and keeps anemia away. Prevents postpartum hemorrhage and assists in the absorption of micronutrients.
Then I add in 1/2 cup of oatstraw. Contains important minerals and vitamins along with a lot of vitamin D and E.
Add in some dried red rasberry leaves and mix it in. Red Rasberry leaves offer anti-oxidants and strengthens the uterus, prevents hemorrhage. It's anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory and assists in blood flow.
Then I add in the final ingredient, 1/2 cup of Alfalfa. This contains trace minerals that balance blood sugar, blood pressure and cholestrol. Contains beta carotene and chlorophyl which helps with joint health and internal PH balancing. More vitamins, D and E and K, all of which help establish a healthy milk supply.
I blend all the herbs together into a single tea and there we have it! NORA tea! Full of healthy components, specifically to aid in pregnancy. It's healthy for anyone to consume too.
I fill a mason jar with the blend, so my wife can make tea from it every day using a teaball. Or we sometimes make a concentrate by brewing a strong batch and putting it in the refrigerator.
Easy access to NORA tea, ready to brew, ready to support an healthy pregnancy for my wife.
If we make a concentrate blend, I usually make an alcohol tincture from the herbs left over from brewng, just to get all the fast nutrients out of these unique ingredients.
My wife smelled the tea blend and said "Yup, smells like gerbil food, it's NORA tea!" We both laughed.
Sometimes we consume things, not because they taste great, but because it's great for our bodies. And with some sweetener and a splash of cream, this tea isn't too bad to drink.
Have you ever tried NORA tea?
Bless the Most High!
Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin
We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.
No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13
Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny
Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations.
Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books. I am an affiliate for Libertas Publishing, your purchase will help our family grow financially.
