I wanted to take a minute and do a post for the #IAmAliveChallenge, as I have not been able to keep up on my posting as of late. You see, when Covid started, both my wife and I were laid off from our jobs at a local community college. Realizing that we may not be called back for some time, we decided to start a business. I should say my wife decided to start a business as she is the owner and operator. She had experience doing professional cleaning, and we thought that with a pandemic going on, cleaning might be a good business to start, and we were very right! We turn down business regularly as we just are not able to handle it at times. This week is one of those where I wish I would have turned down work!
Big Bids...
This week my wife started a commercial contract with like eighty apartments and Bed and Breakfast rentals. She also landed a several thousand dollar job helping an owner get ready to sell, and another job working for a local realtor. Needless to say, that means that her number one employee, me, has to show up for work this week. Of course, I love helping her and seeing her business grow. She is very proud of what she has accomplished, and I am very proud of her.
In Closing...
As I said, I just wanted to drop a post to let everyone know I am indeed alive and well, albeit sore and tired! I hope everyone that reads this is also doing well, and I hope that the business that we turn down finds its way to you!
