Breve descripción de la cotidianidad en la cuarentena personal.
We arrive on Wednesday, I am at home, but I know that it is the first working week of the year in #Venezuela, it is simply that I have been working most of the time from home, since the COVID-19 quarantine began, the situation has been this way. In my daily posts, as usual, I usually comment a little on my #life on a day-to-day basis and then present and comment on an ephemeris of history, for today, I thank Gisela Guerrero for her publication of the summary of ephemeris that he usually carries on his #Twitter account. Arribamos al día miércoles, estoy en casa, pero sé que es la primera semana laboral del año en #Venezuela, es simplemente que he estado trabajando la mayor parte del tiempo desde casa, desde que inició la cuarentena por el Covid19 la situación ha sido de esta manera. En mis publicaciones de registro diario, tal como es costumbre, suelo comentar un poco de mi #vida en el día a día y luego presentar y comentar sobre una efemérides de la historia, para hoy, le agradezco a Gisela Guerrero su publicación del resumen de efemérides que suele llevar en su cuenta de #Twitter. Es justamente la primera efemérides de la lista la que más me llamó la atención. Por cierto, pensaba entrar directamente a comentar sobre la efemérides y su #Historia, porque en verdad que mis actividades durante el día no tienen mayor cosa interesante para compartir, fuera de que me llegó una solicitud de una hermana para que revisara una plataforma web en la que está trabajando, pero es algo que haré cuando tenga mejor señal para trabajar con Internet, siempre y cuando el servicio eléctrico me ayude y no me quede en apagón, que es un mal recurrente en mi país.

Tal como estaba diciendo, hoy es el día internacional de dar las gracias, o se puede decir también ‘Día Internacional del Agradecimiento’ es una fecha pensada para expresar la gratitud hacia las personas, las instituciones, los animales, las plantas… en fin, para agradecer a todo lo que existe en tu vida y que vale la pena que se le agradezca por existir en tu vida.
Es una conmemoración con un significado que suena muy bonito. Aunque me llama la atención que al tratar de averiguar en donde nace esta efemérides o a qué evento se vincula, resulta que no está para nada claro ninguno de estos datos, lo que ha llevado a plantear en varios sitios que revisé que puede haber sido la iniciativa de una empresa de tarjetas de felicitaciones y agradecimientos para estimular la venta de sus productos… en fin, me sorprendió un poco al inicio que una fecha que puede ser tan bonita tuviera un origen tan materialista, pero supongo que es algo que puede pasar con más frecuencia de lo que me imagino.

De los sitios que revisé, la web de https://nationaltoday.com/international-thank-you-day/ fue una que me gustó, me parece que tiene la información bien resumida y lleva su revisión de la historia de la fecha desde el inicio de la fabricación del papel, hasta el momento en que se popularizó, en la Edad Media, el enviar mensajes escritos de agradecimiento, que señala que fue aproximadamente en 1400 de nuestra era, como una tendencia común en las clases económicas superiores.

Es en este punto que se señala a un inmigrante alemán que se estableció en Boston, Estados Unidos, y desde la década de 1870 produjo y vendió tarjetas de felicitación al mercado europeo y al norteamericano, marcando en cierta manera el inicio de una empresa rentable en un nuevo nicho, aprovechando los avances en las tecnologías en las imprentas, produciendo tarjetas asociadas a las festividades de cada temporada y creando una tendencia que se mantiene hasta el presente.
Eso último es bastante cierto, pues acabamos de salir de la temporada navideña y es fácil recordar que una de las cosas más comunes de la fecha es que le den a uno una tarjeta de ‘Feliz Navidad y Prospero Año Nuevo’, por lo menos por este lado del mundo. Además, las tarjetas se enriquecieron con imágenes de ilustradores y mensajes breves pensados por redactores de distintas compañías que hoy en día continúan el legado, incluso en plataformas electrónicas, pues el mercado de felicitaciones se ha adaptado a los nuevos tiempos.
Supongo que ya es hora de cerrar mi publicación, por una parte, aprovechando el día para agradecerte por leer y apoyar mi publicación, por otra parte, para desearte que estés bien y que nos podamos volver a leer en otra oportunidad.
