Breve descripción de la cotidianidad en la cuarentena personal.

I'm falling asleep, it's Wednesday afternoon, I've been awake since Tuesday morning, I couldn't sleep between yesterday and today because a job that I was behind could begin to be resolved, it was a few hours ago. Apart from that long night hours of work in front of the screen, I'm pretty good, my brother did some repairs in the house, our electricity and internet service has been pretty stable today, so I can say that I have had an excellent day in that sense, at least regarding my daily reality of #Life in #Venezuela.
The bad thing is that because of how sleepy I am, I'm already slow headed, so I'm writing the log because I suspect that once I lay down to try and get some sleep, I might miss the schedule and be done waking up on Thursday. In order not to leave the day unrecorded, I preferred to do it at once, so I searched for what was interesting in the ephemeris of #History for today's date.

Estoy que me caigo de sueño, es la tarde del miércoles, he estado despierto desde la mañana del martes, no pude dormir entre ayer y hoy debido a que un trabajo que tenía atrasado se pudo comenzar a resolver fue hace unas horas. Fuera de esa jornada de largas horas nocturnas de trabajo ante la pantalla, estoy bastante bien, mi hermano se dedicó a hacer algunas reparaciones en la casa, nuestro servicio eléctrico y de Internet ha sido bastante estable el día de hoy, así que puedo decir que he tenido un excelente día en ese sentido, al menos en lo que respecta a mi realidad cotidiana de #Vida en #Venezuela.
Lo malo es que debido a lo adormecido que ando, estoy ya con la cabeza lenta, así que estoy escribiendo el registro porque sospecho que una vez que me recueste para tratar de dormir un poco, es posible que me pase de largo el horario y termine despertando ya el jueves. Para no dejar el día sin registro, lo preferí hacer de una vez, así que busqué que teníamos de interesante en las efemérides de la #Historia para la fecha de hoy.

Curiously, I have often heard the month of February referred to as 'The Month of Love', because February 14 was traditionally Valentine's Day, although in more recent years I have read that it is now designated as 'Love Day and the #Friendship', I suppose that in part it is because it seemed like a cut of shyness to declare themselves as lovers in the corny sense of the word, and I also imagine that it would be beneficial for the merchants if the number of people who could identify themselves were expanded with the date and buy #gifts for your very dear #friends.
Maybe I'm being very cynical, but anyway, the festivity dedicated to #love in this month seems to me to be something of commercial interests quite far removed from affectionate and romantic love. In short, all this part of the preamble that I am telling you is because today was among the anniversaries that is the 'Day of Proposing Marriage', I really did not expect it, but at least it is consistent with the celebration within the 'Month of Love'.

Curiosamente, el mes de febrero lo he escuchado muchas veces referido como ‘El Mes del Amor’, por el 14 de febrero que era tradicionalmente el Día de los enamorados, aunque en años más recientes he leído que lo designan ahora como ‘Día del Amor y la #Amistad’, supongo que en parte es porque daba como que corte de timidez eso de declararse como enamorados en el sentido cursi de la palabra, y también me imagino que sería de beneficio para los comerciantes que se ampliara la gente que pudiera identificarse con la fecha y comprara regalos para sus amistades muy queridas.
Quizás estoy siendo muy cínico, pero en fin, la festividad dedicada al #amor en este mes se me parece a una cosa de intereses comerciales bastante alejados del amor cariñoso y romántico. En fin, que toda esta parte de preámbulo que te narro es porque hoy estaba entre las efemérides que es el ‘Día de Proponer Matrimonio’, de verdad que no me lo esperaba, pero por lo menos es coherente con la celebración dentro del ‘Mes del Amor’.

I really wish the best to those who decide to embark on the adventure of a lifetime, because when one sets out to do so, he must do it with the expectation of doing it well enough for the #marriage to endure and survive the test of the passage of time. Yo de verdad que le deseo lo mejor a quienes se deciden a embarcarse en la aventura de toda una vida, porque cuando uno se propone lo debe hacer con la expectativa de hacerlo lo suficientemente bien como para que el #matrimonio perdure y sobreviva a la prueba del paso del tiempo. En la actualidad, con las condiciones económicas de buena parte del mundo, yo siento que eso de comprometerse, vivir en pareja y armar una #familia, es algo más allá de un reto, es toda una labor que demanda dedicación, paciencia, compromiso y entrega, así que a quienes se meten en este asunto, de verdad que les deseo lo mejor y que sus esfuerzos les brinden buenos frutos.
Bueno, creo que el registro de mi día a día, me quedará breve el día de hoy, es que de verdad que no tengo cabeza para escribir nada más. Te deseo que tú estés bien y que nos podamos leer de nuevo en otra oportunidad.
