Hi Hive,
Sometimes, the person giving you strength is secretly struggling to stay strong too. The one encouraging you not to give up might also be fighting a silent battles they never speak about. Life has taught me that not every smile means peace, and not every helper has everything figured out.
We sometimes become so focused on our own pain that we actually forget the people standing beside us are human too. We assume they can always carry more, give more, sacrifice more. But the truth is, even the strongest hearts get tired too. Even the loudest encouragers also cry in silence. Some people are surviving while aldo trying to help others survive too.
That is why I have learned never to underestimate any help offered to me. A simple call, kind advice, financial support, prayers, or even someone checking up on you might have cost them more than you thought. What looks so little to you might have come from a place of deep sacrifice.
Entitlement has a dangerous way of making us forget gratitude. The moment we begin to feel people owe us support, it's that moment that we stop appreciating their efforts. Nobody truly has it all together. Everyone is fighting a silent battle that the world cannot see. Some are battling fear, disappointment, loneliness, financial pressure, heartbreak, or emotional exhaustion behind closed doors.
Yet , grace keeps carrying us somehow.
That is why kindness truly matters. Patience matters. Gratitude matters. Be gentle with people because you do not know what they are going through internally. Appreciate those who show up for you, even when they are struggling for themselves. People pouring into others are sometimes running on empty too.
At the end of the day, none of us walks this journey alone. It is grace, mercy, and the support we give each other that keep us moving forward.
