I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 6 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
I don't know why it didn't occur to me sooner, but last night, as I was looking at my Hive Power income on HiveStats, and this morning as I was running some numbers, I realized that in my just-about 4 years on the Blockchain (only 20 days to go until my 4-year Hiversary), I've earned 6,771.45 HP from post, and 689.92 HP from curation, totaling 7,461.37 HP ($1,516.11), both of which come from my work and play of writing and publishing posts, engaging with my fellow Hivers, and upvoting posts, every single day, for long stretches of time. That's what I've grown just from doing what I do day in and day out on Hive, for weeks, months, and years.
Those numbers are not including HP APR, external investments, or manual powerups, which account for 6,080.095 HP ($1,234.259) of my present total of 13,541+ Hive Power, so what's come from my daily labor of love still exceeds any other source of my HP by more than half, which is both surprising, and very cool. It's very satisfying to see just how much lots of small choices made every day add up over time to some quite substantial amounts. Incredible.
With my very-recent second mega HPUD powerup, I now have a KE Ratio of 0.55, which shows clearly that not only have I never extracted anything, but rather that I've invested significant external assets into my Hive Power. Can you tell that I'm all-in about building and growing on Hive for the long haul?
There's no question that what I earn from posts still far exceeds any other present HP source, however, because of the magical nature of compounding interest and exponential growth, this won't always be the case. At some point, what I gain from HP APR will reach a threshold where it surpasses what I earn from publishing posts.
I was quite pleasantly surprised to see just how much I've earned from upvoting my fellow Hivers' posts and comments. Things certainly do snowball and add up over time, that's for sure. I don't think that anyone could look at my account and not see my rock-solid commitment and dedication to Hive and what I'm building here, and I'm grateful for that. My actions speak for my intent loud and clear I'd say.
Yesterday, Tuesday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive tasks, a little later than I'd hoped, around 2:15PM, giving my attention first to some photography for my posts, and collecting coconut meat and coconut water from several younger coconuts, to get another round of kefir fermenting (with Avi's assistance). When I had that completed, I took a quick asset-management break up at the Flow House, then I went to chop and dump bad/used coconuts at the upper coco bar, and to tidy up the area a bit. By the time I had that done, it was already getting late, so I went for a short photographic walk, in the late-afternoon sun, after which I went to the Landing to collect my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee from the fridge, and with that in hand, I made my way back to the Flow House, to begin my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I wasn't able to get through them all last night, though I did get close, before stopping a little before 11:30PM, to do some asset management, and then to go to bed just after 12AM. I woke up just after 6AM, still feeling that I needed more sleep, doing more asset management, going to make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 10:15AM, so a really good time to wrap this up, so that I may get to my other few important Hive tasks, before preparing for a session that's scheduled for 1:30PM. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's incarnation of these posts! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
