I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 6 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
I love Hive and our We Are Alive Tribe community, and I want for the best and greatest possible realization of their immense potentials, but I've got to say that working to make this happen can sometimes be really quite challenging, and for multiple reasons. Hive can often be like walking on egg shells in a mine field, with so many unspoken rules and parameters to navigate, and no clear source of what is or is not acceptable, other than lots of scattered guides, tutorials, and walk-throughs that various Hivers have written over the years. This is especially problematic and challenging for newcomers, with most still leaving soon after they arrive.
It doesn't just affect newcomers, however, with many long-time Hivers also frequently running into issues with poorly-defined 'community standards', getting flagged with downvotes with little to no communication as to the reason. If people don't know what they're supposedly doing wrong, then there is little to no hope for learning, corrective choices, or improvement, which as a Blockchain community that intends to grow and reach the masses, is shooting ourselves in the foot.
I've been mentioning that multiple Alive Tribe members have recently been receiving downvotes, often to the point of zeroing out their post payouts, including and
, and now sadly even
, one of our core leaders in the We Are Alive Tribe. This breaks my heart, and I very much want to believe that there is a way to resolve these issues, but with no communication on the part of the downvoters, it leaves few options.
What's now happening with Ben makes no sense, as all he's done in his time here is to support Hive and the We Are Alive Tribe community, so why on earth is he receiving downvotes? What horrible sin has he committed to warrant this (and with no reason given as to why)? I love Hive, but this kind of nonsense deeply frustrates and infuriates me. This kind of behavior does not support or nurture a thriving community. Period.
I honestly don't know what's going to happen moving forward. We will do what we are able to continue building, growing, and supporting the We Are Alive Tribe as much as possible, and Hive as a whole, but things certainly appear to be moving in a more difficult direction. We're all rock-solid committed and dedicated to the Alive Tribe, and I can promise you that we will just keep moving forward, adapting, improvising, and overcoming, no matter what.
Yesterday, Tuesday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive tasks, quite early again, by around 12PM (the Hive-Engine node issues made asset management have to wait until later), giving my time and attention first to some photography for my posts, and collecting coconut meat and coconut water from several younger coconuts to start another round of kefir fermenting. Once I had those completed, I sunbathed on the tampoline in the Peanut Lawn for a little while, and then I walked around the property with my machete and a wheelbarrow, harvesting bananas (I found three harvestible racks). When I had that done, I did a bit of work in my nursery, weeding and up-potting, and finally, with my machete in hand, I went to do more clearing along the second driveway, very close to the Flow House. After clearing another good area, I took a shower, then I went to do a little more sunbathing on the trampoline. After sunning for a second time, I stopped by the Landing to collect some leftover food, and my jar of superfood fire coffee from the fridge, and with those in hand(s) I made my way back to the Flow House, to begin my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I got everything done quite early, by just after 9AM, and after some asset management (thankfully the nodes were working), I went to bed just after 10:30PM. I woke up way too early, around 4AM, and unable to sleep, I did a few small Hive tasks, and then I made another partially-successful attempt at sleep. I woke up again just after 8AM, still feeling that I needed more sleep, doing more asset management, going to make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, sharing an amazingly enjoyable conversation with Ceej while there, then returning to the Flow House, a bit on the late side, to write this post. It's now just before 1PM, so it's an exceedingly good time to wrap this up, so that I may get to my other few important Hive tasks, before preparing for a session that's scheduled for 1:30PM. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's iteration of these posts! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
