I come to you on a snowy Sunday evening.

The weekend was busy because we needed to drive to the butcher approximately an hour south of us to collect the half of a cow we ordered a couple of months ago from the local butcher. The beef and pork that they sell are raised locally.

There were a thousand pounds of beef neatly packaged and frozen. The price per pound averaged is a significant savings by purchasing half of a cow; approximately $3.50 per pound. We had to bring boxes to haul it and between Jeff and me we boxed and he carried it into the back of the pickup truck.
Once we arrived home, my son came to help us unload the truck and fill the freezer purchased a few months ago for just this reason. Next, we will order a pig.
Today was church and it has snowed outside since we woke. We left for church at 9:15 to make it to church at 10:00 am for Sunday School. During church, another migraine visited. Medication helped push it back to a degree.
Our Pastor preached a powerful message today about God's love and righteousness. We need to love others as Christ loved us and gave Himself for us. If we don't do what is right, God disciplines His children just like a loving Father disciplines their children. The evening service was a reminder to bring our needs to God. He already knows what we need, but He wants to hear from us.
Two of my grandchildren are here from last night and will return to their Mom tomorrow afternoon/evening because they don't have school. They are spending time with their father. It's always nice to spend time with any of my grandchildren and they are growing up quickly. God has blessed me in so many ways.
