Happy Caturday! We made it through the week! What a week it has been, too. Friday ended a month of mentoring a new trainee. I pray that the trainee feels confident enough to go forward on her own. I think she is equipped with all the tools she will need to succeed and a good support team.
I could complain all day about the system issues we are forced to deal with daily, but the trainee is capable of reporting these issues effectively, too. Working remotely has a whole set of challenges that an office setting doesn't.
After work Friday Jeff and I went to the Firehouse for dinner. I ordered a baseball-cut steak, French fries, and baked beans with chocolate mouse cake. I brought most of this meal home for another day. It was a nice meal but more than I could eat, as usual. The weather was wet and dreary yesterday but the sun is shining bright and temperatures are a brisk 44F.
My youngest son is en route to Pennsylvania from, Fort Myers, Florida to visit for Thanksgiving. I'm so excited to see him. In preparation for his arrival, I'm cleaning the guest room and buying new curtains and pillows.
I'm alive and thriving here in Northwestern Pennsylvania! My son arrived at 3:30 and he was exhausted from driving straight through from Florida but for an hour and a half nap in South Carolina. We ate together and after his brother popped in for a minute on his way to dinner, he went to bed to lay down and rest to recover from his long drive.
