I am going to pop in very briefly tonight because I want to share something with you. Today was a pretty big day for my hubby. I think I mentioned before that he is an indie fantasy author and he created his own fantasy world where monsters are big and humans are small. He is writing the
Tales of Arvia
He has already published three novels as well as two novellas, of course, all taking place on Arvia and all are adult fantasy (despite the cute chibi look of the video preview below).
Currently, he is editing the third book of the Arvia series but each one is a stand-alone book and may be read independently from the others. The third book in the series will be published in May and today he released a video that explains a little bit of the background of the story and of Arvia itself.
So, that's why I thought I would share it here. This is the video, all video editing was done by my husband, and the art is by Papaya Style who has also done a book cover or two for his Arvia books.
It would be wonderful if you'd check out the video
If you head on over to his website you may read a few sample chapters of the novellas for free to get to know his writing style.
Neither he nor I are marketing experts and it is really hard to gain a bit of traction for an indie author. But we are plugging away and he keeps writing because it is what he does. And I love it!
Here are a few of his book covers showing his love for fantasy to maybe give you a better feeling of the world of Arvia. You can all look them up on Amazon, Kindle KU, Apple, Goodreads - wherever. My personal favorite is Hazelhearth Hires Heroes - it's a bit more conventional with more human main characters but the tone is the same in all of them:
Fantasy humor all the way.
Anyways, that's it from me and my feeble attempt to shamelessly plug my husband's wonderful work 🤗.
Oh yeah, and - by the way - in all of his books, except the novellas, you will find artwork by yours truly 😊. I don't think I have shared any or much of my ink artwork on Hive but that is what you will find in the books. I'll give you a sneak peek of one of the maps that I did for Hazelhearth Hires Heroes. It is not the published version because this one here is missing the city names etc. but otherwise - it is the one.
So, I hope you don't mind too much that I am sharing this here but - what can I say - I am proud of what hubby does and has achieved so far but there are so many more lovers of fantasy stories out there that he could reach so that I feel the need to share it here as well.
Thank you for reading if you made it this far. Have a wonderful rest of your day.
Have a great rest of your day!
Cheers,
