Description of the proposal:
- Each project should be evaluated separately.
- Each citizen has 1 vote for 1 project.
- A project with the support of 30 citizens passes.
Telos UK has released a new voting process on the Telos blockchain.
https://telosuk.io/global-public-digital-voting/
This process allows anyone with a Telos account to make a proposal at any time.
The publicdomain.live website compiles votes from the memo field in transactions sent to the publicdomain account on Telos.
To vote, you only have to send 0.0001 TLOS to publicdomain. It is very simple and anyone with a Telos account can vote.
The best way to learn is to practice.
So I am asking people who want to try this new voting system to send a memo to support or not this proposal:
“Proposal for voting projects in the SEEDS community”
If you want to vote:
The title of the project has been hashed. The sentence ““Proposal for voting projects in the SEEDS community” becomes
“ F01E14FACCFE60A54FC97B1035BF7023D6C4520E7C20DDE8145CBECB6FEF3759 “
It is a unique code representing the project.
So if you want to vote, you have to send a transaction to publicdomain. You can use ACORN or TLOS to vote.
Example:
To support the project:
Send 0.0001 ACORN to publicdomain with the memo:
“ F01E14FACCFE60A54FC97B1035BF7023D6C4520E7C20DDE8145CBECB6FEF3759
I support this project”
To vote against the project : Send 0.0001 ACORN to publicdomain with the memo:
“ F01E14FACCFE60A54FC97B1035BF7023D6C4520E7C20DDE8145CBECB6FEF3759
I am against this project”
and to abstain:
Send 0.0001 ACORN to publicdomain with the memo:
“ F01E14FACCFE60A54FC97B1035BF7023D6C4520E7C20DDE8145CBECB6FEF3759
I abstain”
Use your SEEDS citizen account to send this transaction.
Publicdomain will link your vote with your account name and the date of the vote to the page : https://www.publicdomain.live/Proposal+for+voting+projects+in+the+SEEDS+community
Comments:
Many different new rules can be proposed for a vote. The proposed rules in this exercise is only an example for people to vote with publicdomain.live . Many voting rules already have been proposed and I guess the discussion about voting rules will go on for many years.
The concept of the voting process is linked to the available tools. www.publicdomain.live is an interesting tool available for communities. It is almost free and the votes are recorded on the blockchain.
Telos UK maintains the ACORN Universal Basic Income on Telos which can also be used to vote
https://telosuk.io/
So you can use ACORN or TLOS to vote.
https://telosuk.io/acorns/
So you can use ACORN or TLOS to vote.
If you do not have any ACORNs, you are welcome to ask for some from Christophe or any other recipient of the UBI on the telegram group: https://t.me/AcornTelosUBI
You can use Anchor or CoolX or Sqrl wallet to send ACORN or TLOS. For many people, these are new tools which require some time spent learning.
Or you can connect yourself to telos.bloks.io to send some ACORN if you already have a web wallet setup
When you first receive any amount of ACORN or open and run the acornaccount smart contract, you will begin accruing the Telos ACORN Universal Basic Income at the rate of 1 ACORN every day. When you send ACORNs you will receive what you have accrued since you last sent some, so you have to spend to receive. Learn more at https://www.ACORNs.fun
