It was spring when I went to Germany but still I found it very cold. Since that was my first time to be in that place, my body temperature took awhile to adapt on their temperature there. Thank God eventually my body had shown cooperation then. My stay there was very awesome and memorable worthy to share with.
So for today's blog I'm gonna share with you our beautiful walk to remember together with our Filipina- German Head of the Scholarship going to one of the old and prominent places there which is Cologne. Just enjoy reading until the end dear hiveians!
From Hennef to Cologne is a little bit far so we went there by train and honestly this was my first time riding on a train. At first I was nervous but I overcome it through the help of Ma'am Ofelia. Yeah! It was fun riding on it, it stops from one station to the other until it reaches to its destination.
This is what it looks like in the inside part of the station. So many people were in there going in and out of it. It was a busy day when we were there. As what I have observed most of them were in a hurry maybe because of their work or any other engagement that day.
The outside view of the station. Super, the place is so wide. I've seen many handsome and beautiful people walking there. I really admire their beauty, you know foreigners are very beautiful in the eyes of the Filipinos. Yeah, it's true! I admit that one, I appreciate the kind of beauty that they have.
Right beside the station is the twin-spired Cologne Cathedral which most of the tourists love to visit in here. I found it very worthy to visit then. Indeed, our trip going here was all worth it. From the station our walk to remember started.
While walking, this view beside the Cathedral captured my eyes as to what is in there. I've learned that there is a store wherein it sells a particular product and those photos adjacent to it speaks a lot to the history of the Cathedral.
This is the frontal view of the said place. Ma'am Ofelia asked me if I am not afraid of heights for she will bring me up to the top of these two towers of the Cathedral at the back of us. But I said, I am afraid of heights so I am not fond of going there then.
So what we did, we headed inside and I was able to witness this splendid High Gothic architecture design that it has. It was so fascinating and I was amazed upon examining all the side views of it. It was perfectly built.
After looking at the fantastic view of the Cathedral, we went outside and Ma'am Ofelia showed me the beautiful buildings built there which is why I made use of the time to have pictures in there the every angle of the place.
We explored the streets there and was found out how clean and organize the things being there. The stores were on sale which is why there were a lot of people there. That's one thing that one of my friends have told me that whenever there is on sale in here, the price is totally marked down compare to the original price.
After walking, we rested and seated on the bench. We talked and shared something during this moment then. Ma'am Ofelia asked me how's my visit there? Do I feel homesick? Since I was alone there and no relatives I am with.
And yeah, it's normal to feel homesick but the people I am with during this visit I have experienced were more likely as if they were my relatives because of how they treated me. They never feel me that I am not part of their family. They showed me the opposite one which made me the happiest and wanted to visit them again and again.
Rest assured, we had a great day together. Ma'am Ofelia was the bridge why I was one of the German Scholars which is why I never get tired of saying thank you to her even up to this time. God knows I needed someone like her. To God be the Glory!
That's all for my today's blog fellow bloggers. Thank you so much for your time reading this. Until next time, see you around. Stay safe and God bless 💗
