It was a cold day in a cold week, but it is spring. And although the clouds loomed threateningly there was no reason not to get out and go for a walk.
The issue was where to go. One of my favourite places is Malaga's promenade, but close by is also the Paseo del Parque, and at this time of year, perhaps it was possible to see some flowers despite the unusual weather.
So I set off with the course in my mind. I have about thirty to forty minutes to walk. But what I was looking for was a relaxing walk, so I went slowly.
On the way there, there were too many clouds and not enough light, but when I got there the sun started to show up, especially to show nice views.
Obviously, where I live there were all clouds, but near the sea the sky was different.
People were quite warm, in my case I preferred the coolness on my face and to feel the weather and the nature.
When I arrived at the park, there was some sunshine and I could take some pictures. The flowers and trees greeted me, I was lucky in that there were several plants with beautiful colours and they did honour to this spring season.
You could still notice the dry leaves that had fallen in the sleep of winter, carpeting the paths full of vegetation. The damp earth gave a special scent to the atmosphere, it seemed that a gentle drizzle had fallen just a short while ago.
I walked around the park promenade, as they call it, and strolled a little along the promenade, contemplating the beautiful clouds illuminated by the sun.
Beautiful scenery when the evening falls and the rays of light weave through the palm trees.
On my way back I could see some flower beds full of flowers. The city council is in charge of the maintenance of this area, both the park and the area called Plaza Marina.
The sun was already falling softly and illuminating the buildings of the place. The big avenues, people walking here and there. Postcards very pleasing to the eye.
The humid and fresh air made me travel back in time months ago in autumn and winter, a very atypical day.
An afternoon in which it was worthwhile to go out and enjoy not only a pleasant walk but also the nature that offered me a spectacle of colour and light.
At the end of my walk the sky was quite clear. It was well worth the walk.
No matter the day, the weather or the time, nature and the little things in life make every minute of a walk worthwhile. In company or alone.
The important thing is to enjoy the moment, to breathe in the fresh air, to enjoy the colours, the chirping of the birds, the sound of the water or the sweet vibration of the breeze.
It is a pleasure to have found this community Wednesday Walk where I can publish my photographs of walks and comment on them. Best regards.
