It is great to be able to go on night or dawn walks. Before, living in Argentina it was impossible for me to do it because of security issues, but now I enjoy them very much.
At night people go out and enjoy the different places and this walk took place just before the city dressed up for Christmas.
I wanted to capture the spaces as they are naturally, and although there were people there, there weren't many.
The night walks are filled with different colours to those during the day. The streets don't look the same, the traffic lights come alive and the lights come on giving life to the dark night.
The moon was a great companion throughout my walk, a walk that lasted about an hour and she was always watching me. I love the moon, it is romantic and inspiring.
Arriving at the big avenue of the city, I crossed a bridge, recently refurbished, new lights, also its decorations and from there you can see this canal which normally does not carry water but which has also been refurbished lately.
You can go down and walk the dogs, take a stroll, they have put up trees. A complete renovation of the area.
From this place I could see the other bridges on both sides, full of lights and street lamps.
One place and the other is connected by a path full of street lamps that accompany us along the route.
Once across the beautifully illuminated bridge I arrive at the Avenida de Alameda Principal, which on both sides is very well lit and full of trees that form a blanket that covers the people who walk along it, forming a large green tunnel for the cars that pass along this street.
Continuing my walk I reach the area called Atarazanas, named after the market called Atarazanas, a very historic market in the city.
Recently, too, there has been an underground construction site underneath where I was walking and I found the entrance to the underground, beautifully illuminated.
Everything was light at night and always with the company of the beautiful moon.
The buildings also look different at night, their colours change and although some of them look threatening, they didn't do anything to me.
The Christmas decorations were already in place, at least some of them, and the green and red colours of the street lights illuminated them until they had a light of their own.
A sculpture and monument that, with the black cloak of night as a backdrop, looked more beautiful than ever. The night has something very special that transforms every place.
I always see these decorations made with plants and so much green in the sunlight, but they have their charm at night too, they look like guardians of the street and they greeted me when I passed by.
Then I arrived at the most important pedestrian street of the city, beautiful at any time of the day, but at this moment without the bustle and where you can appreciate every detail illuminated by the street lamps.
Corners, streets, some bigger, some smaller, many already with Christmas decorations, but not yet lit. Each one meant a new and unexpected direction to follow.
Many times I looked at the sky, I thought I saw something flying, but I still focused to take a shot. It looked like the buildings wanted to reach the moon.
I love the old windows, they transport me to another era and together with the street lamps they create the perfect atmosphere for it.
I was greeted by another sculpture, which of course is left to the interpretation of the person who sees it. In my case I saw several seats with arms that played the wheel, or at least that's what my imaginative mind saw.
This place is one of my favourites, the Roman Theatre in Malaga, a historic site where culture and art come together. It is majestic.
It was already one o'clock in the morning and I started my way back home, but not before saying goodbye to the streets with their lights while people sleep, the enchanting moon and the buildings that accompanied me along the way.
Thank you all for watching and reading this far and accompanying me on this Wednesday night passage.
A big hello to all of you and see you next time.
Amonet.
