It has been weeks that I'm just staying within the four corners of my room ang just going out if necessary. The last time I went out that was when I was required to go to school last week, after that, I'm back to my usual boring life. This time, I decided to go out and take a walk to the park near my place.
I set off at 8 am since the skies are gloomy and the schorching heat of the sun isn't yet awake.
I still bring my umbrella with me, just in case the rain would pour down suddenly. Since it's a rainy season now, though the skies are clear and the weather is fine, it's still can't be trusted. The road isn't that busy yet as I'm walking. I really prefered walking at this hour because I'm afraid of crossing the streets when there are a lot of cars. If I ever I would be caught up and I would have no choice, I'll often asked a traffic enforcer to guide me when crossing on the pedestrian lane. If there isn't a traffic enforcer, then I'll go with people who will cross the lane also. If there isn't any one available to help me, then I have to wait when traffic lights turned red in every corner before crossing the lane by myself.
I passed by this Japanese Restaurant along the way. I walked faster as I took the picture when I saw one of their staff at the window inside looking at me. I'm embarassed when there are people looking at me when I took pictures in public.
I crossed the road when I saw a pedestrian lane. I'll just pass this hotel and I'll get there at the park.
I walk to the entrance of the park but it is still closed. Maybe because I went there early, but as I get there a lot of people are already sitting and eating at the benches.
This is what the Provincial Capitol of Negros Occidental looks like. The offices of the Governor, Vice Governor, and Sanguniang Bayan are there inside. The Public Attorney's Office is only beside it, maybe at the right. I'm not really sure but the Hall of Justice is at the back.
Some people are taking pictures at this part where there is that "NEGROS OCCIDENTAL" sign board. I'm too shy to take a picture of myself in front of it, so I just took a picture of it. I just took pictures in a hurry because my shoes are already soaked in the morning dews of the grasses.
One of the attractions here also is this male and female carabao guided by a man and a woman also. Tourist would never missed these spots to take a picture of them which is placed in both sides of the lagoon, facing each other.
Here are some pictures of the lagoon in random angles. I'm not good in photography, so I just took them in an angle that I'm comfortable with and where there are no people around.
This park is open for public and there is no entrance fee or any hidden fees. People can do picnics here in the grasses and stay on the benches all day, and the local officers will closed this at night. They can also feed the fishes in the lagoon. They just have to bring their own fish foods or they can also buy at the stores outside the park. There is also a playground intended for children.
This is one of the best place if you want to bond with your family without spending too much. I even saw a lot of couples dating and taking pictures here, but if you're just alone and single like me; this can also be a perfect spot to unwind and de-stress yourself, connect with nature and forget your problems for a while.
