If I was an introvert in High School who prefers to be alone most of time, I feel like I wanted some change now in College. I'm not the type who will be actively participating in class and be the one who will approach my classmates to make friends with them back then, yet now, I don't want that to remain exactly the same. If I have learned a lesson from being a hardcore introvert, that is being shy can't help you survive.
I'm still the one who got nervous when my teacher would want me to speak in front of the class, but I don't like ditching a class to avoid the oral recitation and the reporting again this time, just like what I have been doing back then. I want to improve on that part and try being honest with them for being like this, then try my best to be of help somehow in ways that is within my capabilities.
Good thing, my classmates and teachers are very considerate this time. We have this same goal to be succesful someday. Therefore, we decided to help each other grow. It was settled on the second day of our class and the very first face to face class that was held since the school year opened last August 22. The class wasn't just all about the learnings that we should acquire during the discussions but also for establishing a camaraderie.
The bond and fun doesn't stop after the classes ends but only just the beginning. For someone like me, who was always alone in my boarding house, I think this was the one that I needed βto hangout with some people that where we are sharing the same kind of vibes.
There is a booth there in the middle but they chose to have a selfie in front of H&M. I don't like to pose and have picture there in the middle, either; too embarassing. π We planned to have our dinner in Mang Inasal. At first, it was just me and my partner in research who planned to eat after class but when they heard it, they went along with us which makes it even more fun.
These stalls caught my attention, the mall did a good job on placing them there. They look cute in pink and their the products looks tasty. The products that they are selling are desserts and signature delicacies from different provinces.
Giving one of these stuffed toys to my daughter came to my mind as I saw them, probably going to buy that on my next trip going home. I paused to take a shot of them, just a rememberance that I should buy one for my little girl next time. I'm just thankful that my buddies don't mind me pausing to click my camera from time to time since they also love to take photos. I openly said to everyone during my introduction in front of the class that I'm writing blogs and didn't expect them that they would support me like this. They are even planning to travel, hike, and camp on the highlands when we can have some free time and more budget, then I can take some shots and post my adventures here.
Those dream catchers displayed in that store is tempting me to come near them but one of the tummy of my buddies were already grumbling, so we gotta hurry. Securing our tummies first before anything else. π
Just admiring those lanterns above while waiting for our order.
Every Filipino knows the drill, I guess, when eating in this fast food chain. Wash your hands first, then eat using your bare hands. Goodness, the culture is thriving~ π
When we were done, my other buddies bid their goodbyes and went home. I was left with my buddy in research. I chose to stay with her because she was alone there waiting for her family that was going to fetch her for later.
We walked to the National Book Store because she had some things to buy and I want to buy a binder notebook, too. Unfortunately, it is out of stock when we got there. She was only the one who had bought what she needed.
Every time we enter a Book store, books surely can't escape our eyes.
I was just leisurely taking photos but didn't know that buddy a shot of me with my back facing her. Then, she said that I can use that photo for a lowkey vibe for a post, then she gave it all to me. Thanks a lot!
Heya, ! Just gonna borrow your talikogenic pose just this time. π€
We inserted two Arcade coins and played 6 rounds of shooting. Then, we got tired and entered a cubicle for the Karaoke, but when we are still choosing a song to sing, the power went off inside the cubicle; a signal that the mall is already closing.
We went outside of the mall because we don't have a choice anymore. Yet, her family wasn't still there, so we opted to find a bench to sit and rest for a while.
We were having so much fun inside that we totally forgot that it rained hard earlier in the afternoon. All of the benches and pavements outside are soaking wet; no seats for us. Luckily, her family called her that they are waiting for her in another restaurant just across the mall and I sent her there. I walked to the street above near the plaza where there is jeepney that I could catch which passing by the street near my house. I went with home with a relief that my buddy can also return to her home safely and have a great fun for that day.
I just thought of sharing my fun adventures of my #wednesdaywalk in this prompt initiated by . Hope you had fun at your end with all your walks. All the of the photos are mine unless stated otherwise. Thanks for reading!
