I think I've proven a consistency that I don't need to prove anymore. Someone, an important person, I think a philosopher, said that "consistent is only the ox!" I'm only consistent in a few activities, one of which is walking. So, appealing again to philosophers and their much-loved logic, I am a "walking ox".
When I say consistent I don't mean that I walk, I mean that I almost always walk in the same places, in a few parks, and on a certain avenue.
Today, again, a short walk through Circus Park in Bucharest!
I have told so many times about this park, how it appeared, where it is, and who designed it, that now I won't do it anymore, I will go directly to the example of the short walk with the help of some photos.
Circus Park is a small park, in a district of Bucharest, surrounded by streets, blocks, traffic, noise, and dust. A very small space occupied by nature, a place where the stressed-out big city dweller can unwind and relax a bit. There is also a small pond in the middle but for someone coming to the park for the first time, it is not immediately visible.
Looking at the photo with less attention and with an eye to the typology of those who are in the park, i.e. lovers, dog lovers, and sports lovers, it may escape the fact that immediately in front is a pit...
I love this level change, it's unique in city parks.
There's something special about this little pond. A special plant and not specific to the Romanian climate. It is the Egyptian lotus that in summer covers the water surface with large leaves and white-pink flowers.
Now only a few shy leaves can be seen floating on the pond.
My favorite images in the park are those close-ups that give the impression that they are taken from the great outdoors, not a small city park.
Nature, to be complete, must also have fauna. The fauna, this time, is a family of water birds.
These city parks are the place where most residents can still easily see nature. It's incredible how nature can thrive if it is given a place and it is allowed to do so. The fact that many species of birds and small animals live in city parks means that there is still a chance that nature will not be destroyed by human activities.
