Today I'm back with the second version of the warm weather walk we had at the beach!
Winter Beach Walk
The batch of beautiful warm weather we had recently thankfully didn't last. As much as I appreciate and enjoy the warm weather, I know that it's not supposed to be that way in the wintertime here so I will soak up every single second of it, but know that it really shouldn't be there and that we should be at the frigid cold temperatures that are more normal for the region that we live in lol.
That doesn't mean that we didn't take a bunch of pictures to celebrate the occasion though! Lol. What I know for sure is that no matter how fucking warm it is I WILL NOT BE IN THE OCEAN LOL. There were two groups of crazy ass people the day we went out! I get the polar club and it's intention but holy shit! LOL I would not willingly subject myself to those crazy temperatures! I guess my days of that type of adventure are over and maybe I'm lame but damn, we saw this one and another one that hopped in and were swimming around in the ocean water. I think I'd likely have a heart attack at the shock of it all hahaha. This guy walked out like 40 feet and dove under the waves! He's got balls for sure, although in the water temperature there, 41 degrees Fahrenheit, his balls were about the size of a raisin LOL
The clouds were fantastic on this day that's for sure! Wintertime is usually a time of these boring ass gray clouds that are either a big sheet or a few puffs here and there. They are not interesting at all! On a warm day like today though, it brought out all the cool ass cloud formations and looks that's for sure! Add a touch of nice colors around and it turned out to be a beautiful day visually. The sun was also making a nice appearance and not being overly destructive of the photos which is nice.
This is definitely my wife and I's happy place, as well as the little man! He thoroughly enjoys being at the beach which I don't blame him. I don't know if we could ever move to like Wyoming or something in the dead middle of the country that doesn't have access to a beach at all lol he wouldn't be happy! We would certainly do other things like hike and stuff but it wouldn't be ideal for him. I hope to not need to make that type of sacrifice but you never know how things are going to go these days!
One of the crazy things about this area, the same area where the dude was swimming in the fucking ocean, is that the wind was insane! It doesn't look a lot like it but this section here felt like a desert lol the wind was whipping by and pulling all loose sand particles and hitting you like a thousand little bullets! It was crazy stuff lol.
On that crazy windy section of sand, the other side of it was these giant sand dunes. There were signs all over it that say "don't walk or enter the sand dunes!!!" and yet there were a bunch of assholes, a family even, that were walking up and around them. I wanted to say something to them to educate them on getting down and not going the fuck up there but I thought better of it with my son around. I didn't think it would turn into something physical but felt it was better to not. I did scold my son for trying to go up on them and made sure that the people that were nearby looking to do the same, heard what I said about destroying the dunes and getting a fine for disturbing the bird habitat. Who knows if they cared though.
This was definitely a beautiful stretch of 2 days in the dead of winter to enjoy some nice beach weather and vistas! It was refreshing for sure and I wouldn't mind if we had this type of weather once or twice a winter so that we could get a mental refresher right in the middle of it! A great boost to vitamin D for sure!
