The city center gets a little crazy during Holy Week, but since the processions are in the afternoons and evenings, and with so many sunny days, we took advantage of the fact that summer is just around the corner and went out for a little walk. I took the opportunity to snap a few photos that I like to look back on when we’re in Madrid.
To get to Plaza de España, we walked through downtown a bit, passing by the old cable car that offered beautiful views of the city—the sunset looked phenomenal, too; too bad the photos don’t do it justice. They were very random photos of things I happened to like along the way. I love these walks because I focus exclusively on the details and find interesting photo subjects, like the ceramic figure resembling a pixelated glass on Calle de España—pure art.
We ended up at the Puerta de San Vicente, where the sunset was just setting between its massive columns, giving us an image we’ll never forget.

El centro en Semana Santa es un poco locura pero tomando en cuenta que las profesiones son en las tardes/noches, y teniendo muchísimos meses sin ver el cielo azul aprovechamos que el verano se está asomando y salimos a caminar un poco. Aproveche y tomé varias fotografías que me gusta recordar cuando llegamos a Madrid.
Para ir a La Plaza de España, caminamos un poco el centro, pasamos por el antiguo teleférico que tenía unas vistas hermosas de la Ciudad y el atardecer incluso se veía fenomenal, lástima que las fotos no le hacen justicia. Fueron fotos muy randoms de lo que me iba gustando en el camino, estas caminatas me encantan porque voy exclusivamente a poner mi atención en los detalles y encuentro focos de fotografías interesantes, como la figura de cerámica alusiva a una copa pixelada en la Calle de España, puro arte.
Terminamos en la Puerta de San Vicente donde caía justo el ocaso entre sus grandes columnas y nos regalaba una imagen imposible de borrar.
