My photos today are from a walk that I took at Cromwell Valley Park in Baltimore County, Maryland in 2019. Cromwell Valley Park has some of the most beautiful Evergreen trees on the property. I feel like every time that I visit or look through my photos of past visits that I visualize them lit up with Christmas lights!
In the summer you will find large areas of milkweed that they've planted for the Monarch butterflies, other butterflies and bees.
There are quite a few other areas with other wildflowers as well for the butterflies and bees!
There are streams on the property as well. I took the first photo below from a small bridge away from the driveway there. It is a wonderful little spot to stop and listen to the water flowing by.
I took this one from the other bridge that cars drive over to park. Luckily, the times that I've gone to Cromwell Valley Park it hasn't been too crowded so there weren't many cars but there is enough room on the bridge for both people and cars.
Speaking of luck! On the way out we had to stop the vehicle as there were a couple of Monarch butterflies in the middle of the road. I got out to shoo them out of the road and took this last photo. I had to try to be quick about it as a couple of cars were on the same driveway but they saw what was happening and seemed okay with waiting a minute or two. You know, it's not everyday that you get to save a couple of Monarch butterfly lives. I wonder if they give medals for that! 🤔
Oh well! I'm really just happy for a quick photo or two! Happy Wednesday! 😊
Thank you for #wednesdaywalk!!
