It's already Thursday for lots of people - but it's STILL Wednesday for me!
And I'm NOT too late to show you my Wednesday Walk! hehehe
And of course - I want to have fun with you again this week - so... the first one to guess the mystery photo mixed into the post will get 5 Hive :)
Good luck!
Now, today, I went down the mountain and needed to go to the store. I had gone down yesterday but forgot ONE CRITICAL ingredient for the meal I was making. For most of you, that is just a quick hop, skip and a jump to the store. For me? I live on a mountain. It is a 3 hour round trip - NOT counting the shopping time! hahaha You might think - well what's the big deal? Just make something else! Normally , I would. But tomorrow, I'll tell you why I didn't.
For now? Let's get onto what I saw while I was down the mountain for Wednesday!
This is my husband's and daughter's favorite gas station! LOL Their mascot is a dinosaur - and they love the dinosaur so much! hahahaha When Christmas time came, they actually bought each other something with the dinosaur! I laughed so hard because both thought THEY were the only one who was going to get the other something with the cute green dinosaur - but... nope - they think alike! LOL But in this picture - no dinosaur! In this picture... a man riding a bucking bronco! I don't know why - but this seems so random. hahaha
It shouldn't! Because as you'll see from the rest of the photos - this town is a nice little mix of odds and ends - but it works! :)
Heading to the store - no dinosaur here... but... a cow! LOLOL. Yep - just a cow. Right in front of the store! hahahaha why ???? I don't know. Why not! This is just the flavor of this fun little town. Put a cow outside the store to say hi to everyone! :)
Inside that store - all these Mexican pastries. There are so many different kinds - but when I used to eat gluten... hahaha, I noticed that they look so different - but they all kinda taste the same! But I took a picture because I think they're so pretty to look at. plus. I love gluten and I miss it and I want to marry it.
hahahahahaha
HERE is the mystery photo.... can you tell me what this is? hehehe First person to guess right gets 5 Hive :)
ok... i have to have another prize picture! hehehe
You can only choose one to guess - can't have both. So either choose the picture above for the 5 Hive - or the picture below for 5 Hive.
But - Green Bean. Think you know what this store provides to its patrons? Let's see if you can guess it! LOL First one to guess - 5 Hive! :)
Take a look at this tree... cool, right???
Not only is it completely bare - not one leaf in sight... But the one branch has completely curled over itself in a big arc. How neat is that??? We have these trees all over the mountain. This is not an unusual thing for us to see - but maybe its new for you! :)
This is a ranch that I saw on the way down the road. I was across the street, and I zoomed in - so the picture isn't that great. I didn't want to seem weird that I was taking pictures of someone's house hahahaha So I got shy, and just quickly took a pic there! LOL But you'll see all kinds of things in front of people's ranches! I saw so many cool things that I thought I should come back someday and just take pictures of the random things right by the side of their front gates! They are all unique - and strange - but somehow - it all works! :)
Take a look here... this is a mural painted on the side of the building. There is a nearby town that is somewhat famous for their murals throughout the town. Those are really something special to see, and there are SO many! They make it a tourist attraction and hide little things in the murals to find. Very fun! But this town is not famous for their murals, but they do still have fun adding to the charm of the town. This one is just a nice one - but if you are diligent to look - you'll find some spectacular ones here too!
This is on my way back up the mountain. A brand new baby grove being planted! I wonder how long it will take for it to look lush and green like the rest of the groves that populate the area! I don't know what kind of trees these are. We have so many different crops that are abundant here! My guess would be a citrus grove :)
And what do they do with all the citrus? Well, they sell to the whole country really! But of course if you are local - you get the deals.... WHEN you can grab them fast before they sell out! hahahaha As you can see in the lower picture - I'm out of luck today! :)
Well that is all for my #wednesdaywalk! hehehehe I hope you enjoyed seeing this little town - there really is a lot more to show hahahaha but that will have to be for another time :)
Hope you all have fun with the two mystery photos! :) Guess well!!!!
