I walk every weekday morning, and also every Wednesday.
I walk to the position from where the bus that takes me to the place where I work leaves.
It's not a big walk, but it means to me, every morning and every afternoon, I walk about 1.5 km in both directions, a total of 3 km. With the activities I have during the day and in the evening, quite enough.
With that walk, I avoid using the public bus, but I don't avoid the various obstacles that arise during that walk. Whether it's fallen leaves, a few branches, a rain puddle, a pile of snow...
Or most often improperly parked cars.
I don't like it at all when I see the lack of culture of a driver by leaving his car parked on the sidewalks.
I'm a driver myself and when I park my car, I know to go a few streets away, just to park it properly, in a place that won't bother anyone.
And not like this, in the middle of the sidewalk...
Almost a fight
While I was taking a picture of one of these cars, I heard a man behind me who asked me: "What are you taking pictures of with that phone?".
What impudence.
So what did that dude think I was photographed?.
Yeah, he probably wasn't happy that I captured his arrogance with a picture...
"I'm taking a picture of how strangely this car parked," I say to the nervous men and continue on my way...
I hear an excuse behind me: "Well, I just left the car there for a minute, so I'd like to get away quickly...". What can I say...
"Dear sir, I'm sorry that I didn't come this way two minutes later, when your car wouldn't have bothered me, because it wouldn't have been blocked across the entire sidewalk. It's true, I could have bypassed it, exiting to the street or by stepping over the grass (as I usually did around the car), but ... how would a mother driving her baby in a pram or a man who is blind and walks with a cane go around your car?"
He looked down at the ground, said "I'm sorry", sat in the car in shame and drove away.
So there was no quarrel 😀
He drove off on his way, and I continued on mine, until the next obstacle... Driving an uncultured driver...
What to do, it seems there are a lot of them in my neighborhood.
I end that morning walk at the bus stop, where I board the bus and allow myself to be driven by a professional to my workplace.
Good morning to all Hive walkers. I wish you a nice walk this Wednesday and that you have no obstacles in your paths, as I had!
