This Walk took me high into the mountains of France, near the Pyrenees.
It wasn’t a city walk this time. It was a snowy one — surrounded by silence, pine trees, and distant peaks touching the sky.
The first thing I noticed was the stillness. Snow covering the ground, dark green trees standing tall, and mountains stretching endlessly in the background. Even with people around, it felt peaceful.
There’s something special about learning or practicing in the snow. You fall, you laugh, you try again. The cold air keeps you awake, and every small improvement feels like a victory.
Later, the clouds gave way to a bright blue sky. The sun reflected on the snow, making everything glow. It’s one of those moments where you stop skiing just to look around.
From higher up, the view becomes even more impressive. The Pyrenees feel powerful but calm at the same time — not dramatic, just quietly majestic.
Riding the gondola offered another perspective. Floating above the trees, watching the slopes from above, you realize how small we are compared to the landscape.
And of course, no mountain walk is complete without a simple moment to pause and take it all in. A smile, cold cheeks, tired legs — and a grateful heart.
This wasn’t just exercise. It was a reminder that sometimes the best walks are the ones that take you far from routine — into snow, sunlight, and silence.
Thanks for joining my Walk in the French Pyrenees ❄️🏔️
