This morning it was slightly overcast but fine. I decided to go on what the villagers call 'the Teddy Bear's Walk' although nobody knows why. I've never seen any teddy bears on the way and I don't think I ever will. Unfortunately, the first part of the walk is uphill but it doesn't last for very long.
It is worth getting to the top, as there are lovely views over the fields. The yellow part of the photo is the remnants of last year's sunflowers. Someone planted them there for the first time last year. I believe they act as a natural fertiliser.
Anyway, once at the top, I carried on through the wooded area. There are still a lot of daffodils out, although, I think they have started to die off. The celandines are weeds but they still look pretty when there's a whole batch of them on the ground.
The footpath took me past the local golf club, up the drive way and then down a footpath between the houses.
There were a few golfers out this morning. I had to keep my eye on flying golf balls!
I knew at some point I would find some mud. Luckily, I managed to navigate around it.
As I came to the end of the wood, I reached the sunflower field. Obviously, they’ve all died off now, but I hope they plant more this year.
As I approached my car, the hedges, covered in blossom, looked as though they were dusted with snow from afar. Apart from the muddy parts, it was a nice walk.
