We had a short walk to the bottom of Higgor Tor, another popular spot with hikers. We parked up nearby and walked along the wide footpath. It was another beautiful day.
It didn't take us long before we saw Higgor Tor, which is a level gritstone tor in the Derbyshire Peak District National Park. At the top is an Iron Age hill fort called Carl Wark. I can't wait to go and explore when we have more time.
At the bottom, was a brook where someone's dog was enjoying a paddle before running off to it's owner. It was quite boggy around there so better put better walking boots on next time.
We just did a small circular walk just to suss the place out. We are hoping in the next week or so to walk down from the top. We decided it was better than walking up it!
