Daisies, Bushy Tails, and a Pocket Full of Peanuts

For my #wednesdaywalk initiated by Hive account@tattoodjay, I decided to go back to Holmebrook Country Park. It’s marvellous what a bit of sun does, as the park was looking very colourful.

I always like the look of this particular tree. I think it is a horse chestnut. It's actually got some exercise equipment around it but I've edited it out!

I purposely made a return trip to take some peanuts for the grey squirrels. I felt guilty last time, as they were following me down the footpath, expecting me to have food.

It wasn't long before I spotted a few squirrels. One had some moss in its mouth. I presume it was building a drey (nest ) somewhere. It accidentally dropped it, so it jumped down off the railing to retrieve it.

There were a lot of daisies and buttercups dotted around the place. It was a really pleasant walk, and I’m pleased I got to feed the squirrels this time.
