We took a walk to Robin Hood's Stride which is a gritstone rock formation in Elton, Derbyshire. Folk lore has it that Robin Hood strode between the pinnacles at either end. Believe that if you will. He must have had long legs! I only clambered half way up as my fear of heights prevented me from going further. It was a bit slippery in any case.
It was quite cold even though the sun was out. The beautiful scenery more than made up for it.
It always suprises me that in my village we've had snow, but not too far from me they've not had one snowflake.
A lovely, circular walk and not too challenging for my old legs!
