Hurrah! The sun was back out today, and it was quite warm. Hopefully, it will help dry areas out after all the floods. I actually walked around this dam last week, only to spot an egret and heron, but unfortunately, I hadn't got my long lens with me. School girl error! I returned today with my long lens but, of course, I didn't see the birds, but I did see a few lovely reflections on the dam instead.
You can only walk around one side of the dam as the other side is private property.
They've recently resurfaced the pathway, so I'm sure it will make it more comfortable for wheelchair users and people on mobility scooters to move around on.
A lot of dog walkers come here and everyone is very friendly. A short walk can last over an hour as everyone stops to talk to you, especially when they spot you have a camera in your hand.
I think this is the best bushcraft den I've seen.
The leaves are beginning to turn into oranges and yellows. I get impatient for them to change at this time of year.
I crossed over the bridge and then double backed on myself to do a circular walk. I ended up having an in-depth conversation with a chap about the floods before I finally got back to the car.
