The UK weather is even more odd than it usually is. I was able to wear shorts for a couple of days last week, however, today we've had hailstones and snow showers! For my #wednesdaywalk initiated by , I went on my weekly walk with a friend of mine and her dog. We walked around the village, making our way to the shop at the top. People’s gardens were looking lovely as everything is blooming. The magnolia was very fragrant as we walked past.
While my friend called in at the shop, her little dog waited patiently outside. She wasn’t going to let her mum out of sight!
At the moment, the village and surrounding areas have a lot of roadworks happening. I’m not sure why they have to do everything at the same time, as you can get stuck at four-way traffic lights for quite a while. Thank goodness we were on foot!
In the distance, you can usually see right over the hills. Unfortunately, we got caught in a hailstorm, and everything turned quite white and misty, so you couldn’t see much beyond the hedges.
On the return journey, as you enter the car park, there's a pond to the left, however, some ducks were congregating around the puddles! Water is water, I suppose.
When they spotted us approaching, they scarpered back to the pond.
Thankfully, the overcast sky didn’t last long as the blue skies returned ... for now.
