We had a little shopping expedition in the town of Harrogate in Yorkshire. It has a bit of history surrounding it. The crime writer Agatha Christie, famously disappeared here for 11 days after an argument with her husband. The next morning, her car, was found abandoned at a local quarry. She was finally found at the Old Swan Hotel (above) after checking in under the name of Mrs Tressa Neele, the surname of her husband's lover! She never revealed the real reason of her disappearance.
We then walked to Bettys Cafe Tea Room famous for its tea rooms serving traditional meals with influences from Switzerland and Yorkshire.
After walking around the town for several hours the lure of the countryside beckoned. We found the nearest field to let the pooch have a well earned run before going back to our campsite.
