As it is #wednesdaywalk day, initiated by , I decided to go and look for two geocaches this morning.
After yesterday's dull and chilly day, it was good to see the sun had returned.
Upon arriving at Kenning Park, the hint for the first geocache was "Look up, look DOWN! Some natural foliage may be hiding the geocache around the B.O.T." This means base of tree. In the description, it also said "the tree is sad," which I presumed referred to the weeping willow not too far from me, so off I went. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it. I found a place it could have been, but couldn't see anything. Reluctantly, I moved on ...
I walked down the path and through the hole in the wall. There’s a narrow footpath that leads down to the bridge, where the second geocache was. I didn’t have much hope of finding this one either, as I’d read comments that the last few people hadn’t found it.
The clue was simply "magnetic". I was right. After a good search, I couldn’t find it.
Anyway, disappointed, I carried on towards the lake. The sky was lovely and blue, with the odd cloud.
The daisies and dandelions were all out, offering a lovely splash of colour.
There was a third geocache hidden, but I would have had to upgrade my account to a paid one. There's enough free ones to keep me going. Two failures in one day was enough!
