when the wind is light leirfjord is such a nice place for an evening walk. i won't go far and will just revisit some places around the neighborhood

but before i go i need to make a stop in the toolshed

hops are growing around the house and the shed. in the old days a farm which had hops growing was worth considerably more than one without. a beer lover will tell you that is because they valued the ability to make mead or beer and i won't deny that may have been true. however my theory is that hops won't survive in dry places so it's a good indicator that a farm where it grows would be less susceptible to drought. Cheers

the house from the road

and down to the shore where a cargo ship is passing

the seaweed growing on the rocks is exposed when the tide is low

a seagull corpse, possibly a victim of bird flu which has plagued coastal areas in the north recently.

a last shot of my favorite house

and another of several sheds that seems to belong to it

a closeup of the window. i am always curious what is inside old sheds like this. this must be old fishing nets. too bad i won't get to see them in detail. but with any luck i will soon get a look inside my friend's boat house. more treasures there, i'm sure.

there is a newer house on the land here behind the trees. if i were them i would have repaired the old house on top instead of building a new one.

i've posted a shot of this boat house before but it looks nice in the evening light

the sun on the hills across the fjord

it's getting late, time to head back
i took these shots on my Samsung S22 phone they are edited either on the phone itself or in the free version of photoshop or both.
this is the fifteenth post in a series of photos i took in Leirfjord, Norway at the end of August.
