Walking through the El Manzano area [ENG/ESP]

On this occasion, I would like to share with you a walk I took through an area called El Manzano, located a few kilometers from the city of Barquisimeto at a higher altitude, which makes it a cool and pleasant place, especially during the holiday season.
We arrived at this place after crossing the Macuto Bridge, an iron bridge over the Turbio River, which connects the two areas.
After crossing this bridge, a long climb begins along a road with numerous curves that wind around the mountains surrounding this beautiful community. Along the way, we find several sites of interest, such as the Divina Pastora seminary, the Chinese house, and other buildings that serve as headquarters for educational institutions and some private clubs.
Entering the orchard, we appreciate the lush vegetation and houses with beautiful facades and trees in their gardens, which add a lot of greenery to the landscape.
Finally, we arrived at the convent of the Socorro sisters, located right next to the apple orchard nursing home.
There they have a small churuata or hut and a beautiful house surrounded by many fruit and ornamental trees that give it such a pleasant, rural atmosphere, making it a special place for retreats and gatherings.
It was a very pleasant and restorative trip, as being in contact with nature will always be excellent medicine for soothing the soul.

De paseo por el sector el manzano

En esta oportunidad les comparto un paseo que hice por un sector llamado el manzano, que se encuentra ubicado a pocos kilómetros de la ciudad de Barquisimeto y con una cota más elevada, lo cual la convierte en un sitio de fresco y agradable clima, sobre todo en esta época decembrina.
A este sitio llegamos luego de atravesar el puente de Macuto, un puente de hierro colocado encima del río turbio, que sirve de enlace entre ambos sectores.
Al pasar este puente, comienza una subida prolongada través de una carretera con numerosas curvas para sortear las montañas que delimitan esta bonita comunidad. En el camino encontramos varios sitios de interés como el seminario "Divina Pastora", la casa China y otras edificaciones que sirven de sede a instituciones educativas y algunos clubes privados.
Entrando ya al manzano apreciamos mucha vegetación y viviendas de bonitas fachadas con árboles en sus jardines que le dan mucho verdor al paisaje.
Finalmente llegamos al convento de las hermanas socorristas, ubicadas justo al lado del asilo para ancianos del manzano.
Allí tienen una pequeña churuata o choza y una bonita casa rodeada de muchos árboles frutales y ornamentales que le dan ese ambiente tan campestre y agradable, que convierten el lugar en un sitio especial para los retiros y convivencias.
Fue un recorrido muy agradable y reparador, pues estar en contacto con la naturaleza siempre será una excelente medicina para aliviar el alma.
