Hello hive friends.
Welcome to another Wednesday walk. This time I am taking you with me to Santiago the Compostella. No, I did not walk the pilgrims route, jet, but I did visit a friend who was walking the route. And who knows, maybe I will walk a route to Santiago my self one day.
It was a nice and sunny day in Spain, well it's nice and sunny most of the times, and the temperatures were a bit high. But for street photography that was a good thing. Not many people were outside at that moment. An empty streets with not many people is ideal for street photography.
This is the highlight of the city, the cathedral. Seen from the University of Santiago de Compostela. I saw a door that was open so I just went in. No idea if that was aloud. And there I had a nice view over these tow old buildings. The university was build in the year 1495. So cool that its still standing.
But this cathedral is even older. They started building it in the year 1075 and they officially opened it in the year 1211. Amazing that old. I love it.
But highlights for me are these little streets and squares. Look at this tree standing his ground. I would love to make a complete series of just this one tree. Every season a couple of pictures. And maybe during a fiesta. I wish I had the time for that.
But this is what I love to make the most. Single people in old small streets.
This was so cool. This steep road and this building that was under construction.
The old city center is not that green. That's pretty sad because trees are very good for regulating temperature.
And this were again so many pictures. But I did split it up this time. I have way more pictures of this day that I will post here soon. I split them up this time in to horizontal and vertical photo's. So than you know what to expect.
