The roar of the sea accompanied my calm walk along the Lågen River, where aggressive waves crashed on the shore.
Hello, friends, community members, and community admin ! I hope you are all doing well and having a great time.
Today, I took a small walk along the mouth of the Lågan River. After a few days of much-needed rain, the surroundings were soaked from the refreshing showers. Today, the sun came out, and we decided to go shopping for some special items I needed for my work. We drove to a nearby town, and after finishing my shopping, my husband suggested we take a small walk since we were close to the Lågan River. It had been a long time since we last visited.
Hvittensand beach is across there.
On the Vest side is a residential area called Vestre Halsen,
While on the west side, the path Revstien ends after 1 kilometer at the Thor Heyerdahl monument. We decided to head south.
The path is known as Revstien or sometimes Poesistien because many stones have been carved with the names of some popular authors and their short poems.
Due to the heavy rain in the past few days, the river was full of water where it empties into the Larvik Fjord. There wasn't much wind, but the waves were very aggressive, crashing over the breakwater made of large larvikite blocks and rubble from the local quarries.
here we can see the mouth of Lågan.
And the Larvik fjord.
We keep walking on the Revstien where big, big Larvikite stone blocks prevent the water from coming over, but still the big splashes made the path wet, and the dirt and algae covered the path. At one place, a big wave came across and splashed muddy water with algae on me.
The agricultural silos hold up to 25 different grains. The tall building shows up over the fence.
A little bit of town.
That's about today's walk. Thank you very much for stopping by.
