WednesdayWalk | Lockdown on Its Sixth Week

First off, Happy Earth Day! Mother nature must be celebrating with less pollution everywhere. However, we humans are still in lockdown. This is our sixth week. Rumors have it that it will be further extended, perhaps until mid-May. We'll find out by tomorrow when an official announcement was said to be made by the president. TSK! I'm mostly apolitical, but I will vocally say I'm not a fan. I would rather support causes and ideologies than personalities. 'nuff said.

It was time for another pet supplies run. I get to document these walks as I don't get to carry much, unlike when I make a supermarket run. I limit to doing that every other week only. That way, there will be less interaction with others.

The street leading to the pet shop is closed to the general public. That's an order from the local district (barangay). The sun was too hot to endure so I wait under the shade. I just occasionally peek to see if the pet shop owner was approaching with my orders.

I got my supplies and was walking home. As you can see, the sun is out. I later on learned this was recorded as the highest temp. for the month. No wonder I felt drained when I got home. Oh how I miss the trip to the beach! I guess summer has just been postponed for us this year.

If you could zoom in this photo, the street is lined up with delivery trucks left and right. I guess more folks are opting to do essentials delivery these days. We've been out of work for so long, some have perhaps found ways to diversify their businesses. Our street is well known for selling fruits in bulk. Most wholesalers get their products along this street.

There I was lining up at the drug store as I needed to buy something essential. This was the last stop of the day before heading home to rest awhile. Being out in the sun could be draining sometimes. I leave you this short video clip that I took as I was waiting for the pet supplies...
