For today's Wednesday Walk blog, it's time to visit Locquirec. It was Christmas Day in 2019. We got nothing to do on that day so the pregnant woman needs to walk. What I admire here in France is that they have several hiking trails to choose from.
According to Wikipedia:
Locquirec is a small Breton seaside resort on the English Channel, located on the border of Finistère and Côtes-d'Armor. The town is located on a peninsula that stretches into the Bay of Lannion. The view from the Pointe de Locquirec offers a panorama of the entire western part of the pink granite coast, from Milliau Island to Plestin-les-Grèves, passing through Trébeurden, Saint-Michel-en-Grève and Tréduder.

As usual, we always do our walk in the late afternoon. It was winter and the skies were grey. If you see the photos above, they were people actually went swimming. Haha!
Two girls were enjoying their afternoon doing some sketching.
Took photos of the surroundings but it is blurred.
Oh, there you see, a guy went SURFING in WINTER! OMG, I cannot.
Okay, one more shot of the coastal beach.
There, you see 4 people waiting for the waves. Who loves to surf in winter? Ugh, they do!
More WINTER SURFERS to see!
Another side of the coastal beach on my left.
We started to walk and took a few photos.
I decided not to take several photos because I had trouble with my balance.
You know, I needed to support my big tummy using my hands while walking. I have to mind my own steps.
The Stone of Locquirec
According to Wikipedia:
The "Pierre de Locquirec", extracted from the side of a cliff or on the foreshore in several coastal sites, from the Pointe du Corbeau in the west to the cliffs along the beach of Traon ar Valin in the south-east, passing by the Pointe du Château, is made up of Brioverian sedimentary deposits mixed with underwater volcanic products, which have taken on a schistose appearance due to their being buried at great depth under the action of strong pressures. This rock was straightened during various foldings and forms the backbone of the Locquirec peninsula, but we know of it from deposits from Lanmeur to Tréguier .

We walked further and you can see the walking path on the left side. It is really nice to do your short walks and hiking as a group.
Blurred photos
Even though the photos are blurred, I decided to keep them and uploaded them here. Well, it got a nice view.
Memories of my blurred photos with a heavy tummy.
Trying to smile despite the cold weather.
Okay, I want to walk now.
Here comes the sun
Photos are clear now
We found this spot for another photo.
Finally, my husband was able to take clear photos of me.
I find this house very nice but it reminds me of the house of Hagrid from the Harry Potter movie series. Not really the same but well, I want to have a photo here.
I just took a snapshot of a random artwork near the hotel.
A photo of the sea before going to the church.
Saint-Jacques church or Saint James church
According to Wikipedia:
The Church of Saint-Jacques de Locquirec is the parish church of Locquirec, France.
The church tower dates from 1634; "the altarpiece of the high altar bears in high relief scenes from the Passion of a very archaic execution and having the character of the 15th century " 3 .
The church of Locquirec benefited in modern times from several foundations 4 and several brotherhoods: that of the Rosary had existed since at least 1674 5.
The building is listed as a historical monument on March 27, 19146 .

It was getting dark already so I decided to enhance this photo with its brightness.
If I never enhanced the photo, the trees, and the church would look like haunted. So, I never wanted to have that scary vibe in my pregnancy photos. XD
The church was closed. I didn't get the chance to see what was inside.
I told my husband that I was very hungry. I want to eat some chocolate crepe. Hahaha!
Going to the Port of Locquirec
Sunset and it was getting dark. I just took two photos of the port as there was no daylight. I was very hungry as well, I just wanted to sit down and order some food.
There you go, I just ended our walk to the port of Locquirec drinking hot chocolate and eating chocolate crepe with cream on top. Hahaha!
My baby was hungry. XD
