Hi everyone! The subject for my Wednesday Walk is the rapeseed field. I want to share with you some photos of the rapeseed field here in France.
This is not the first time I saw a rapeseed field. After a few months of giving birth to Alexandre, my husband was driving to the next town. Here in the countryside, we see a lot of green fields with cows, sheep, and horses in them.
Then I saw some yellow fields during the spring season. When we passed by, those were actually flowers, the rapeseed flowers. We just took a video from the car but never got the chance to go down and take photos with it.
Last year, as we were going to the beach, we passed by a field of rapeseeds. The husband asked me if I was interested to have photos. So he let me get out of the car, and I ran to the other side of the road. He quickly took photos of me.
Actually, if my husband was on the right angle, he can actually include the sea in the background. But we were so in a hurry, I didn't care if there is a sea view or not.
I looked fat with my oversized pullover but it was so cold I need to cover myself. I don't wear sexy clothes anymore. Alexandre was clapping his hands when he saw me enjoying the flowers.
Then there were a few cars passing by so I had to run and get inside the car. We need to head to the beach.
We spent two hours on the beach. When the sun is getting down, we needed to go home so we prepared ourselves to get into the car.
Then my husband asked me if I wanted to take selfies with the rapeseed field. This time, I took advantage to go near the yellow fields and took a lot of photos of selfies and videos.
Ah, you know what's sad? I didn't bring my Nikon D5100 camera. Also, I wasn't photo ready. I really wanted to do some photoshoots surrounded by flowers. When you have kids, you don't have your freedom anymore.
Anyway, excuse me for my chubby face. Excuse me for having a raw face. No makeup, no filter. Just the real me. When you're a mom, you don't have time to make yourself pretty. But it depends, no? Because I see some other moms who really give time to make themselves pretty. But my husband is always in a hurry and he prefers for me not to wear makeup.
You know, this kind of view, I think that I could only see this in magazines and postcards. I can't believe I actually see it with my own eyes.
Here's a Youtube Video
Even though I don't look and feel pretty compared to when I was younger, I have to accept my new mama look. I still looked pregnant after giving birth to two kids. I got so many insecurities in my body.
But seeing the yellow fields of rapeseed flowers made me really happy.
Someday, I'll get back on track. Do my exercise and lose weight. But what can I do? My husband cooks a good meal. Because of breastfeeding, I am always hungry so I have no choice but to eat a lot. Hehe!
Anyway, I hope I made your day with the rapeseed field. :D
