Hi #WednesdayWalk community! This time around, I'll bring you to a nice place for hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Yes, a nice place for sports enthusiasts! A nice place to spend your time with the family and have a picnic.
Lac de Guerlédan
According to Wikipedia:
Guerlédan Lake is a French artificial lake located on the one hand in the municipalities of Saint-Aignan and Sainte-Brigitte in Morbihan and, on the other hand, those of Mûr-de-Bretagne, Caurel, and Saint-Gelven in the Cotes-d'Armor. It materializes, in part, the boundary between Morbihan and Côtes-d'Armor.
Covering an area of 304 ha, 12 km long, and 45 m deep at the foot of the dam, Lake Guerlédan is the largest artificial lake in Brittany.
Its formation is due to the construction of the Guerlédan dam from 1923 to 1930 on the Blavet River. It supplies the dam's power plant, with a capacity of 15 MW, operated since 1946 by EDF.

Indeed, the lake is so huge that can't be done for a day. So many things to do around the lake. This is such a nice playground for nature sports enthusiasts.
While my husband was pushing the trolley of the baby, I was holding my Nikon D5100 with the 50mm 1.8G lens.
It's time to tour around
Taking a photo on my first test shot on the lake. Here is a family having a good day for a picnic. Everything is so green as you can see.
The photos of the lake are so serene and quiet.
And I saw a woman and a boy having a good time canoeing.
I enjoyed taking photos of them. I need to practice using my 50mm lens using this kind of shot.
I think this is a mother-son duo, coming back to their base.
I took another photo of the family having a picnic, adjusting my 50mm lens with less exposure.
My husband walked so fast that I was left behind. Alright, let's move on to taking another photo.
Here I was, taking photos of random people from afar.
But I kinda like it taking photos of nature. Well, it's kind of challenging using a 50mm lens because it is not a wide lens. This is more commonly used for portrait shots, thus, a good portrait lens.
Some are blurred but I am not deleting photos.
Seeing the people canoeing, this was the time I told my husband that it would be nice to do kayaking or paddleboarding here.
Well, I was kind of jealous since I was still healing and I need to recover. And buying a paddleboard or kayak is actually expensive.
Ah yes, I want to do paddleboard here someday.
Taking photos of Baby Alexandre
We paused for a while so I decided to take photos of Alexandre. The reason why I used a 50 mm lens is because of him.
Here's a close-up shot but not smiling. He was just looking at me.
Oooh! So cute!
He got some skin reaction below his cheek because of breastfeeding.
He was just looking at me.
Then, he cried. Sssh, calm down!
Okay, he stopped crying. Ah I know, because he doesn't like to stop. He wants to move so he smiled a bit here.
Alright, let's continue to walk. :D
Water Dam
This is the last destination of our walk and we had to go back our way where we have seen a family having a picnic. So, I took photos of the water with different camera settings.
The Flowers
After taking photos of the water dam, I saw different little wildflowers in the grassy area. I tried my best to do a macro shot with a 50 mm.
I was in a hurry that I wasn't able to take a photo with a correct setting.
And so are these purple flowers. I was in a hurry. My husband already left me behind as we need to move on to the next place.
This is my entry for the #wednesdaywalk challenge, hosted by .
