Well, is this Murphy's law or what? The photos I want to share today are from a little while ago when Elmarie (my wife) felt like paying her family a visit. They are still living up in the Johannesburg area.
She was missing her mom and we decided to get her an airplane ticket for the weekend.
Now that I want to share these photos, I receive a phone call from Elmarie's brother. He is down here on business and he wants to come to visit us. He is about 50 KM away and on his way here to surprise us. Well, okay...it's no longer a surprise... But it was to hear him being and on his way...lol.
So, let me see if I can get this post published before he arrives here.
I would like to start the weekend before Elmarie went to see her family.
We went together. We went up to Howick. It is more inland from where we live...about an hour's drive.
We went to visit the Howick falls. This is what it looks like.
And from a slightly different angle.
All these photos were still taken with my cellphone. It was before I started using the camera.
But with help of Google, I got this photo...more of a panoramic view, combining three photos that I took.
Then we move a week ahead to the weekend when Elmarie went to Johannesburg.
I had to drop her off at the airport before dawn. It was something like 4:30 am. After her flight departed, I took a drive and made a stop at Umhlanga Rocks, waiting for sunrise.
Now, these photos didn't come out all that nice. They are not as clear as I would have liked them to be, but I'm sure you'll get an idea of what I saw.
This was still before sunrise.
Then it started happening...
The sun is rising...
From there I went down to Warner Beach where I took the next two photos.
And then the surf was actually on the rocks...
The whole day was overcast and cloudy. But the next day it was clear. So I went back to Warner Beach and took this photo. It is on the southern side of the beach.
And that was it. I just wish I had taken those photos of the sunrise with my camera.
But, that means I have something to do shortly. I'll have to go out there before sunrise again...lol
Thank you for reading my post. I do appreciate it!
