When browsing my following feed, I saw several good #wednesdaywalk posts by my friends.
I made a hurried decision to get out of the house for a moment.
To be sure, all I did was walk around my home, but still.
I don't think I've shown this yet, the walkway I installed up the slope so I won't be tracking in clay every time I go out to pick or water my garden.
So much work left to do
Speaking of my garden, that pinkish flower to the right is a Mandavilla that I kept from last year, in a pot inside all winter.
I think it came out well
Zinnias along the wall of my studio building, I have a milkweed planted in there in hopes of feeding the Monarch Butterflies.
Butternut squash and maters coming out all over
My home from the street
Notice the Hydrangea to the right?
It has several colors at once, I don't think it's made up its mind what it wants to do.
I'm surprised the one on the left is alive, as it was run over and nearly plowed up by a bobcat (small bulldozer)
My little painted Turtle is hanging on, I've had to reglue it once since I painted it and placed it out here at the end of my drive almost 4 yrs ago
↑Mimosas at the end of my neighbors driveway. They are beautiful to look at in bloom, they smell great up close (which I did not know until I got up here to this area) but they are horribly invasive, non native species.
The view down that driveway (my house is now to the right)
↑In the woods behind my neighbor's house
Now I go thru my back gate
(Gate is off to the right out of frame)
This side yard was a nightmare a year ago, I planted the grass and had much of the brambles and old remains of a dog yard removed
Oh I have come SO FAR along creating this patio, doing most of the work myself after the retaining wall was built, and it's killing me.
The automotive problems I discovered this morning will likely call a halt to any more purchases for that for now. I just hope all the plugs of Irish Moss I've put in will catch and grow rapidly.
Still, I have my little water feature to listen to and try to calm myself.
I guess I'm a walking man
