It was a long day in Colonia Tovar, but all the planned walks would be accomplished as the day went on. I must admit that one of the great surprises of the afternoon was to arrive at the Hydrangea Garden, just when the fog began to fall in the town and the weather became even cooler. In this area we found thousands of hydrangeas of many colors, really when we arrived we were very surprised by the beauty of the place and I knew we would have a dream walk.
Fue un largo día en la Colonia Tovar, pero todos los paseos planificados serían cumplidos a medida que pasaba el día. Debo aceptar que una de las grandes sorpresas de la tarde fue llegar al Jardín de las Hortensias, justo cuando comenzaba a caer la neblina en el pueblo y el clima se hacía más fresco aún. En esta zona encontramos miles de hortensias de muchos colores, realmente cuando llegamos nos sorprendimos mucho de la belleza del lugar y sabía que tendríamos una caminata de ensueño.
When my wife and I thought about taking our mothers on a little trip we had in mind a beautiful hike like this one, surrounded by flowers and in total connection with nature. To get there we had to get on a rustic, it is a higher place than the rest of the village, and although you can not notice it in the pictures I can assure you that the sound of the birds was the perfect soundtrack to be in this place.
Cuando mi esposa y yo pensamos en llevar a nuestras madres a un pequeño viaje teníamos en mente una caminata hermosa como esta, rodeada de flores y en conexión total con la naturaleza. Para llegar tuvimos que subirnos a un rústico, es un lugar más elevado que el resto del pueblo, y aunque no puedan notarlo en las fotografías les puedo asegurar que el sonido de las aves era la banda sonara perfecta para estar en este lugar.
Another thing I really liked about this particular walk was that there were not as many people as in other areas of Colonia Tovar, few went up to the Jardín de las Hortensias at that time, and that was very relaxing for me. Our mothers were enjoying the walk and we took the opportunity to buy some candy to take to the rest of the family when we returned home, and even though we were coming from town we really hadn't had time to do that shopping.
Otra cosa que me gustó mucho de este paseo en particular es que no había tanta gente como en otras zonas de la Colonia Tovar, pocos subieron al Jardín de las Hortensias en ese momento, y eso fue muy relajante para mí. Nuestras madres estaban disfrutando la caminata y aprovechamos de comprar algunos dulces para llevar al resto de la familia cuando volviéramos a casa, y aunque veníamos del pueblo realmente no habíamos tenido tiempo de hacer esas compras.
This is a place I recommend to visit if you ever have the opportunity to go to Colonia Tovar, Aragua State of Venezuela, especially if you like flowers as much as I do. I thought there would be another species of flowers, but no, they were all hydrangeas, it is really impressive to see them gathered in one place, a hill full of them to a very dark depth that blends in with the forest, simply impressive.
Este es un lugar que recomiendo visitar si alguna vez tienen la oportunidad de ir a la Colonia Tovar, Estado Aragua de Venezuela, especialmente si te gustan las flores tanto como yo. Pensé que habría otra especie de flores, pero no, todas era hortensias, de verdad es muy impresionante verlas reunidas en un solo lugar, una colina llena de ellas hasta una profundidad muy oscura que se confunde con el bosque, simplemente impresionante.
