Hello! I just want to share some photos of my little stroll in Ayala, Makati, Philippines. I happened to meet a friend for a life catch-up. I also wanted to introduce to my friend a hidden gem- my favorite dumpling shop in Makati. ๐
Here is my walk blog!
Of course, whenever I am in Ayala, I always eat in Lao Beijing. ๐ I also made a specific blog for my experience here. I have my usual order- xiao long bao (soup dumpling), roubin, and their homemade Hong Kong milk tea. It is pricier compared to other Chinese restaurants perhaps because of the rent since it is situated in a prime location, inflatio, and whatnot. But still, I will eat here! ๐
Lao Beijing blog here.
After eating, we want to stroll in Ayala Triangle Gardens. I had a lot of memory here! ๐ Back then, my friends and I sat on the grass patches while waiting for the traffic surge to subside. Also, the Philippine Stock Exchange is located here.
I cannot remember this piece of art at all. Looks like a fountain in not a usual shape. People jog here, walk their dogs, and even conduct zumba. It is a refreshing spot with lots of trees in a place full of tall concretes. Just don't hang out here during lunchtime coz it will be super hot.
The buildings are somewhat blending with the sky because of the glass windows. It was hard to capture this shot because they were too high. ๐ The sun is hurting my eyes so I stopped taking shots on that angle. Glady, I got one good shot. ๐
My favorite shot of the day. ๐ A combination of skyscrapers and a piece of nature. It is cool in the eyes, but in reality, my eyes were burning, haha! P.S. I did not see this shot right away unless I was in a shaded spot.
I just noticed a cute cat hanging out in the grass. Maybe the cat felt hot too so she opted to sit on the cold soil. I think she is well cared too based on her appearance.
We got tired of strolling, so we opted for a cafe. The heat is beating me big time. A big relief when we opened the door because of the air conditioner.
Tim Hortons has already displayed their holiday deals on the counter. Did you know, that in the Philippines, we start Christmas in September? ๐ People love Christmas. I think they are out of bread for now. IDK, maybe they were stocking fresh baked goods.
We were still stuffed with dumplings, so we just ordered iced tea. The bread seemed to be sitting there for a minute now, so we skipped that for now. I was supposed to order their milk tea but I already had one. I just want a cold drink to chug.
While sipping on our iced tea, we talk about life happenings. In our convo, we realized that time flies so fast especially when you are already an adult. ๐ Christmas is in less than two months, and yeah, another year. We talked and stayed for an hour talking and laughing at silly stuff.
About to get trafficy~ so we decided to go home.
Thanks for reading! ๐
That is it for this blog. I will see you at the next one!
