Hello wonderful #Hive walkers!.... The one you see above is my face with my big nose and it was also the last picture you saw in my previous post titled: WEDNESDAY WALK TO NEARBY MOUNTAINS (Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela) - (Part I)...

¡Hola caminantes maravillosos de #Hive!... Esa que ven arriba es mi cara acompañada de mi gran nariz y también fue la ultima foto que vieron en mi posta anterior titulado: WEDNESDAY WALK TO NEARBY MOUNTAINS (Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela) - (Part I)...

Now it is time to complete the story of this Wednesday walk and these are the photos and my comments on them...

Ahora es el momento de completar la historia de esta caminata de miércoles y estas son las fotos y mis comentarios respecto a ellas...

My face was smiling until I saw this ridiculously steep stretch of road in front of me, maybe 400 metres long... The municipality paved this stretch because the rains turned it into a real waterfall and ruined the access... But they should have paved the whole road!....

Mi cara era sonriente hasta que observé frente a mi este tramo de carretera ridículamente inclinado y de quizás unos 400 metros de largo... La municipalidad pavimentó este tramo porque las lluvias lo convertían en una verdadera cascada y estropeaban el acceso... ¡Pero debieron pavimentar todo el camino!...

And how could it be otherwise: Someone rushes past me and continues on his way upwards as if we were walking on something as flat as a beach!... This is "Cheche" (or at least I think so, because he doesn't even turn his face while waving hurriedly)... The people who live in these mountains would make excellent athletes for one of those "Iron Man" competitions I think!... :))

Y como no podía ser de otra manera: ¡Alguien pasa raudo a mi lado sigue su camino ascendiendo como si fuésemos caminando por algo tan llano como una playa!... Este es "Cheche" (o al menos eso creo, porque ni siquiera volteo su rostro mientras saludaba apresuradamente)... ¡La gente que vive en estas montañas sería excelentes atletas para una de esas competencias "Iron Man" creo!..

I have only walked about 3.5 or 4 kilometres from the edge of the village, but the percentage of ascent on this road is so high that the village can already be seen dwarfed in this view down into the valley.

Apenas he caminado unos 3,5 o 4 kilómetros desde los limites del pueblo, pero el porcentaje de ascenso en este camino es tan alto, que ya el pueblo puede observarse empequeñecido en esta vista hacia el valle.

And this is the advantage of using an old Zoon 18-200mm lens to go out wandering in the nearby mountains!... I've gone from the previous photo to this one without moving from the same place!.... It's a photo of the very centre of the village, with the parish church practically in the middle.

¡Y esta es la ventaja de usar un viejo lente Zoon 18-200mm para salir a deambular por las montañas cercanas!... ¡He pasado desde la foto previa a esta sin moverme del mismo lugar!... Es una foto del pleno centro del pueblo, con la Iglesia parroquial prácticamente en medio.

A view to the north, with some very interesting landmarks such as "El Peñon" (the promontory on the left side), the plain of "Las Mesas" and the mountain called "El Marquero" both on the right side next to each other dotted with a few clouds... This is basically the highest part of the north-central coastal mountain range of Venezuela... From "El Marquero" even the sea can be seen.

Una vista hacia el norte, con algunos puntos de referencia muy interesantes como "El Peñón" (el promontorio que se observa del lado izquierdo), la planicie de "Las Mesas" y las cumbre de "Marquero" ambas del lado derecho una al lado de la otra salpicadas por algunos gajos de nubes... Esta es básicamente la parte más elevada de la cordillera centro norte costera de Venezuela... Desde "El Marquero" inclusive puede observarse el mar.

Again I'm using the zoom lens to "bring things more closer" ha ha ha.... :)) This is a view of a rock formation called "EL Peñon" and it is practically a visual icon of the village, as it can be seen from any part of the valley.

Otra vez estoy usando el lente zoom para "acercar las cosas" ha ha ha... :)) Esta es una vista de una formación rocosa llamada "EL Peñón" y es prácticamente un icono visual del pueblo, pues puede observarse desde cualquier parte del valle.

Now the road becomes deliciously flat (Yes, I love the flat roads!) for a short stretch, but from here I can reach an excellent place to take pictures of the valleys south of the village and the mountain range of the central plains.

Ahora el camino se hace deliciosamente plano (Sí, amo las partes planas del camino) durante un breve tramo, pero desde aquí puedo llegar a un lugar excelente para hacer fotos de los valles al sur del pueblo y de la cordillera de los llanos centrales.

This is perhaps the photo I like to take the most when I walk here.... The valley stretches as far as the eye can see and you can see the low mountains, behind those peaks are our region of the central plains... The view from here is breathtaking and the relief makes the wind blow constantly in an excessively pleasant way... It's a place to stay and watch for a long time...

Esta es quizás la foto que más me gusta hacer cuando camino hasta aquí... El valle se extiende hasta donde se pierde la vista y se ven las montañas de baja cota, detrás de esos picos están nuestra región de los llanos centrales... La vista desde aquí es sobrecogedora y el relieve hace que el viento sople constantemente de una manera excesivamente agradable... Es un lugar para quedarse observando durante un buen rato...

Someone around here seems to live very happily away from the noise of the town... That little house has always made me curious, but I've never gone there to find out who lives there... That's a task I'll leave for another day...

Alguien por aquí parece vivir muy feliz y alejado de los ruidos del pueblo... Esa pequeña casa siempre me ha causado curiosidad, pero nunca he llegado hasta allí para saber quien la habita... Es una tarea que dejaré para otro día...

The return journey has something better than the outward journey... It's downhill!... ha ha ha :))

El camino de retorno tiene algo mejor que el de ida... ¡Es en descenso!... ha ha ha :))

The sun has increased its brightness even though there are some white clouds in the sky... The colours are beginning to show up differently... I love these little overlapping details in nature...

El sol ha incrementado su brillo a pesar de haber algunas nubes blancas en el cielo... Los colores comienzan a apreciarse de otra manera... Amo estos pequeños detalles solapados en la naturaleza...

The mountain "San Isidro" is about 7 kilometres to the east... Those antennas that can be seen in its highest part, are responsible for more than 80% of the telephone communications and Internet coverage in the valley... When something happens there, these villages are almost isolated in terms of communications...

La montaña "San Isidro" queda unos 7 kilómetros hacia el Este... Esas antenas que se observan en su parte más alta, son las responsables de más del 80% de las comunicaciones telefónicas y de cobertura de Internet en el valle... Cuando algo sucede allí, estos pueblos quedan casi aislados en cuanto a comunicaciones se refiere...

I have already descended a long way and I am close to the base of the mountains... I'm very good at walking downhill!... ha ha ha :)).... This photo "made my day".... They are little kids... The little girl uses an old cooler as a desk to do her homework, while her younger brother is running barefoot and free in the grass.... Their house is about a hundred metres inland from here... But they consider this their garden!.... :))

Ya he descendido bastante y estoy cerca de la base de las montañas... ¡Soy muy bueno caminando en descenso!... ha ha ha :))... Esta foto me "hizo el día"... Son unos niños pequeños... La niña usa un viejo enfriador como escritorio para hacer sus tareas escolares, mientras su hermano menor corretea descalzo y libre por la hierba... Su casa está a una centena de metros de aquí montaña adentro... ¡Pero ellos consideran esto como su jardín!... :))

I love it when the clouds start doing strange things!... See those over the rows of mountains?... Those are lovely things!.... I understand they are formed by abrupt pressure variations and updrafts of air.

¡Amo cuando las nubes comienza a hacer cosas extrañas!... ¿Ven esas sobre las filas de las montañas?... ¡Son cosas encantadoras!... Tengo entendido que se forman por variaciones de presión abruptas y corrientes ascendentes de aire.

It's been a while since "Chicho" (my private stray dog) stopped accompanying me on this walk.... But you can always find dogs here!... And this one is a friendly semi-wild dog, I guess!...

Hace ya bastante rato que "Chicho" (Mi perro callejero privado) dejó de acompañarme en esta caminata... ¡Pero aquí siempre se pueden hallar perros!... ¡Y este es un amigable perro semi salvaje, supongo!...

I've always loved this view, it's just a couple of bends before the end of the descent... As a child I used to come here when I ran away from home in the afternoons to wander... This was a great adventure for me then, I was only about 8 years old!.... I like the way the forest, the mountains, the sky and that old electricity pole with its wooden crossbeams all come together in a single view... I've been admiring this special spot for many years!...

Siempre he amado esta vista, es apenas un par de curvas antes de terminar el descenso... De niño venía aquí cuando me escapaba de casa por las tardes para deambular... ¡Entonces esto era una gran aventura para mi, apenas tenía unos 8 años!... Me gusta como se juntan en una sola vista el bosque, las montañas, el cielo y ese viejo poste de electricidad con sus travesaños de madera... ¡Llevo muchos años admirando este punto en especial!...

It is clear that cows in the mountains are as superior in physical condition as their owners!... These cute cows eat plants in the middle of the vegetation in steep places and they do it without exerting themselves too much... Then their owners don't understand why they don't "put on weight" like their congeners in the flat pastures of the village!... Good heavens, they must burn three times as many calories!...

¡Esta claro que las vacas en las montañas son tan superiores en condición física como sus dueños!... Estas lindas vacas comen plantas en medio de la vegetación en empinados lugares y lo hacen sin esforzarse demasiado... ¡Luego sus dueños no comprende porqué no"engordan" como sus congéneres de los planos potreros del pueblo!... ¡Santos cielos, deben quemar el triple de calorías!...

And just before arriving in the village I meet "Domingo" .... Who is on his way to his home in the mountains after spending the night at the house of "one of his girlfriends" (as he himself says).... Domingo is quite a character!.... In whatever way, he's quite a very good-natured guy... Although his libido perhaps often betrays him! ha ha ha :))

Y justo antes de llegar al pueblo me consigo con "Domingo".... Quien va hacia su casa en las montañas después de pernoctar en la casa de "una de sus novias" (tal y como él mismo suele decir)... ¡Domingo es todo un personaje!... De la manera que sea, es alguien bastante simpático y bonachón... ¡Aunque su libido quizás lo traiciona con frecuencia! ha ha ha :))

Wow, that was an excellent walk.... I've returned to the village and everything here is just as I left it..... Almost as if we were in the 80's, judging by the lonely streets and that old Ford LTD parked in the street!... hehehehehe :))

¡Caray, fue una excelente caminata!... He regresado al pueblo y todo aquí está tal como lo dejé... ¡Casi como si estuviésemos en los años 80, a juzgar por las calles solitarias y ese viejo Ford LTD estacionado en la calle!... je je je :))
