Hello, friends.
It's Wednesday, so it's time for a walk.
I am at home today. The reason why I'm not at work on a weekday is quite trivial and sad - my contract expired this Monday. So now I am temporarily unemployed and actively looking for a new job. The thoughts and uncertainty make me a little sad. To prevent my mood from completely deteriorating and depressive thoughts from consuming me, I go to the forest. After all, there is no better therapy than being outdoors, plunging into the comfort and tranquillity of the forest.
It's quite cool today. And it's only the second day of autumn weather. Before that, it was hot, like in summer. So I want to see how the trees are behaving. Can you see the first signs of October?
The forest is cosy. Thick growths do not allow the sharp wind to penetrate here. Only acorns falling from the oaks break the peace and quiet. I have to be careful, because they can easily hit me. And such big acorns can hit hard 🙂.
There is already the first blanket of bright yellow leaves between the trees. The fern has also started to turn grey. It's not as richly green as it was a few weeks ago. So autumn is slowly coming into its own.
I decided to leave the path. I walked between the trees. Fallen leaves and branches vibrate gently underfoot. It's damp, it smells like mushrooms. I looked closely, but didn't see any. Only a mushroom grew on a stump. I went to the fir trees. They reminded me of fairy tales from my childhood. They were depicted in children's fairy tales just like that. It seems that right behind them I would find a hut on chicken legs with a witch inside. But no. Right behind the spruce trees is a green, flat lawn. It was so bright that you wouldn't even know it was autumn. Immediately after the clearing, there is a forest again. It seems to be endless, although it is not.
On my way home, I noticed a clearing between the trees with a net wrapped around it. It's for sports tourism. There is a school nearby, so children come here to have fun.
The walk in the forest made me feel much better. I have faith in the future and in the temporary nature of current problems.
Have a nice Wednesday and enjoy your walks.
