While I was outside on my regular walk with the pooch, all of a sudden I saw a lot of movement again in the woods. People were setting out the walk again with the leprechauns in the woods, so the walk for the kids is again complete for the summer!
It turns out the took the little toys inside for the winter time to clean them all, seeing if anything was broken and also to hide them for the fire works aroudn new years eve. It was also time to make some new set ups in the woods.
Admittingly, they did a really good job and it is cool to see the walk is back up again.
Funny to think how my reaction has changed to this kiddy walk comapred to last year when all of a sudden it was there. I was a lot more sceptical at that time. People just 'added' some elves in the woods in some set ups, and I was really afraid it would turn out in a crap show where no one would maintain all of this plastic stuff and it would slowly just get spread out through the woods.
I could not have been more wrong on it, there is a lot of love made in these setups made by the caretakers and it really all gets maintained very often.
Kudos!!
What is nice to see in all of these set ups...
..is that the origins of the woods are used to make the scenery fit in there. Little logs are just old dead branches from the trees. Small buckers are filled with pinecone parts, and even the hills are used into place.
That is some cool thinking and I think someone went all in with their creativy to really give some body to all of the stories.
What really is nice to see is when you are walking here in the wooden and the kids are walking here as well. They go on the hunt for all of the elves and immediately start making stories by all of the set ups on what they expect is going on here.
Good for the imagination of the kids I suppose, here they can let the fantasy drift off for a bit!
Or is this maybe someones project from school that they have to do? I'm not sure at all.
And what about doggo?
Doggo really doesn't mind all of the setups here. I thought he would bulldozer right over all of these things, because you know...he is kind of clumsy and not really aware of his surroundings. So I had expected that when he gets the zoomies in the woods that he would go nuclear on all of this.
But it seems more that he tippie toes through it all trying not to knock anything over, and he did a way better job that expected.
Nice size compared to the rest dude!
So yeah, does this mean that walking season in the woods is opened again for the families? I guess doggo isn't too fond of that as he is not really fond of humans he doesn't know.
But hey...this walk is for the kids right? I'll take the doggo somewhere else where he suits better!
