Wait, wait, wait. What is happening all here? It was just any random day while I walking outside through the woods accompanied by my favorite pooch. The pooch was sniffing around and wondered off every now and then.
Somewhere in the far distance I was able to see something was going one in the woods. Some kind of invasion...but peacefull though. No hard feelings coming from it at all, but more of the feeling that you know something is going on over there.
And there they were. Marching in like it was their woods all of a sudden. Taking over the soil but just hanging around to entertain everyone who is passing by. The leprechaunes in their new living spot, which is apparently in the woods in the spring
The kids were siked, but also not any longer than 5 minutes when the urge for another spike attention came along again. So I am wondering...how long will this new leprechaun city be the talk of the town, before it all turns forgotten again and other summer towns are the newest hot ones again.
Because ofcourse, looking at this dude taking a nap on his swing looks super chill actually, and I am even more fan of the wooden construction his swing is made from.
But on the other hand I do wonder what will happen when a storm passes by knocking over some of the houses of the leprechauns. Or when a group of humans with a certain age gathering in the woods decides to take over the forest and demolish the houses of the leprechauns again?
Who will take care of them when the need it the most?
Because that is often the deal with these kinds of initiatives...Someone has a great idea and makes it happen. But also great ideas need some maintainance eventually, and some love to keep everything going smooth and strong.
Maybe I would loved it just a bit more if these had been all made out of woods from the forest. And maybe it would be even more cool when these art things would have been made by local guys from town, versus just getting the plastic version around the corner for a jiffy.
Am I now the boomer who is complaining about that there is too much plastic in the woods with no reason? Or should I just be happy that there is something done in the woods with a cool outcome?
If you ask me..it would have been just a little bit more cool when it was done in a bit more sustainable way....
